"Are you ready?" I gave Monty a kiss on the cheek before stepping out of the car.

"Well, there's really no turning back now, is there?" He shrugged, shutting his car door.

"Um..just don't walk to close to me and don't touch me, at least not in-front of the boys," he added as we approached the gate.

"I won't, promise,I'll keep my distance," I reassured him.

He frowned at me, "I'm trying."

I rubbed his back, "I know, take your time, I'll always be here for you."

The gates of the house were wide open, displaying a big off-white colored house with red doors that were also open. I could see the kids inside of the house but Montys crew was hanging outside of the house in a circle, this would be the type of situation where I usually turn around and walk the other way, but I was with Monty this time around so I felt much safer. They all were dressed in proper clothing which was much different from the football jerseys they usually wore to every single party in high school. There were some tipsy girls hanging around the group of boys but they were talking to each other and ignoring the boys.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" One of the boys called out, using his hands as a megaphone. The attention turned to me and Monty.

I distanced myself from him and looked down at the floor but I was careful not to make myself look like easy prey.

"Mon-ty-De-La-Cruzzz!" One of the boys cheered and the rest of them hollered after him.

Monty walked over and did a common greeting that most teenage boys call the "dap."

"What's good, what's good," Monty said.

"Yo," the same boy shouted at me.

I turned my head in confusion.

I made eye contact with him, only then did I realize it was Aiden, the same one who broke my camera in the locker rooms last year.

"Come here!" He called.

"Your from school right?" He asked me.

"Uh, yeah," I answered, confused by his question.

"What's your name again? You look familiar,"
Aiden put his hands in his pockets.

"Winston," I replied blandly.

"Your here with Monty?" He asked.

Monty looked at me along with everyone else.

I guess Aiden didn't remember me, what happened to me in that locker room must've happened so often that they don't even think about it.

"Uh, yeah, we're friends," I grinned at Monty.

Monty interrupted politely and patted me on the back, "Right, well, me and Winston are gonna go say hi to some friends and we'll be right back.

"No, no, no," Aiden blurted, "Please, stay, I insist."

Monty was clearly annoyed and in a rush to leave but if we said no they would've been suspicious.

Monty grabbed my arm and whispered into my ear, "Upstairs master bathroom, 10 o'clock."

Shivers ran down my spine from his warm breath.

I nodded and walked away, afraid that if I tried to speak I might've said that I wanted him to fuck me right there on the spot.

As I walked away I heard laughing from the circle of boys talking about boy stuff and the girls sitting with their legs crossed, giggling

Walking into the giant house, with only Monty on my mind, I noticed that everyone was dressed up nice, like they actually tried and it wasn't just some regular high school party. Well, it wasn't a high school party at all since we graduated already so I guess it was the first pre-college party for the class of 2021.

Everyone was hanging around with their own group but I realized I didn't have a group, no one I would hang around with and see during and after school, no one I would make plans with, I felt awkward and misplaced just wondering around the semi-full house.

"Winston!" Rafaela called out from across the room.

Finally, some people I could talk to.

I went to go give her a hug but she kissed me on the cheek instead.

"Hey," I chuckled dryly as she wiped a lipstick stain off of my cheek.

"Where's Monty?" she asked, grabbing her red solo cup from off the counter. Molly stood behind her.

"He's talking...with the boys outside," I said making quotation marks with my fingers.

"Ah," she drank from her cup, "I see."

She held out her cup, "want some?"

I shook my head and declined, "I don't feel like drinking."

"Pfft," she blew a raspberry, "It's just Smirnoff come on it won't do anything, plus, we're celebrating!!"

"Nah, it's okay," I refused.

Molly scoffed, "What a fucking pussy."

I looked at her awkwardly, not knowing what to see to that.

She batted her eyelashes and stared at me blankly, "It's a joke, obviously."

I pretended I knew that it was joke and smiled.

"Ou," Rafaela out her drink on the table, "We're doing fireworks at 11...don't be late."

"What?!" I asked for clarification.

"It's fine, it's legal...I think, I don't know."

"Mhm, well, count me out."

"Bruh, what did Molly just say?" Rafaela put a hand on my shoulder.

I sighed and rolled my eyes, "I don't know."—I knew.

Rafaela raised her eyebrows.

"Don't be a-"

"Don't be a fucking pussy," she spoke over me with a wide smile planted on her face as I mumbled under my breath.

"That is what I like to here," Rafaela walked away.

Me and Molly watched her feet as she walked and greeted other random people.

"She's só different when she's drunk," I said to Molly.

"Agreed."

As I admired the people and objects around the giant house, I caught a glimpse of Monty, staring right at me.

I looked at him for a second before turning my head, in attempt to leave him wanting more of me, I like the way it made me feel.
