I stormed away from him, I was furious I didn't want anything to do with him at all what so ever.

fucking idiot

Right as I was about to catch up to Rafaela and Elio, my phone buzzed.

I was hopeful.

My heart dropped, but it was the good kind of heart drop, the type where you're so happy you can't believe it's real.

M:come to ur house
6:54pm

W:ok
6:54pm

I didn't want to seem too excited because he might've just been calling me to get something he left inside my house, I knew that was most definitely not the case, but I didn't want to be too optimistic. But inside it was fucking unicorns and rainbows, you might as well have baked me a cake and sang happy birthday.

I quickly opened up the uber app and immediately purchased the nearest one. 15 minutes away.

"Listen...Winston-"

"Shut up," I hissed, "I don't wanna talk to you right now, I have somewhere to be."

Rafaela barged in, "are- where you going?"

I glanced at her slyly, "nowhere, I just- have to go, enjoy the lake though!" I faked pep and a smile.

"Why are you leaving though?" Elio murmured.

I took in a deep breath in stress, "No where, I just realized I have somewhere to be," I repeated, "Its none of your business, why do you care anyways?!" I questioned him.

Elio bit the insides of his lips and looked down awkwardly. Rafaela had her arms crossed and her hardly visible eyebrows scrunched. I didn't even know how to describe the look on CJ's face but it made me feel guilty eventhough he was in the wrong. I inhaled, shaking my head.

Suddenly, just in time, the all black vehicle pulled up behind me coming to a sudden halt. The sticker in the front window that read "Uber" was enough for me to get in. I quickly rushed to the car and waved a hand and Rafaela and Elio, making sure I was making direct eye contact with only them two and completely ignoring CJ.

The woman in the front seat was a young Asian woman with a wide white smile. Her eyes almost disappeared when she smiled, her cheek bones were defined along with her thin eyebrows.

"Hello, how are you doing," she said with an accent.

I grinned, "I'm good, thanks...and you?"

She took off quickly as the eyes of my friends trailed me down the street through the window.

"I'm good, yes, yes," she said in a rush almost.

The sun was just over the horizon and the heat from outside was slowly seeping in through the flaming hot metal and leather. I could feel a trickle of sweat trailing down my forehead and into my ears. I reached towards the window button beside and pressed down to let in some fresh air. Nothing happened. I pressed again but the window didn't even move in the slightest. I glanced at the woman, she was relaxed and focused on the road.
