CHAPTER THREE:
THE PARTY

ONCE KENZIE WAS ready for the party, she climbed out her window. she had never climbed out of her window before, but luckily harvey was there to help and she managed to get down.

"so how did you even know those things about me"

harvey paused for a moment. "like i said, it's what i do" he gave her a sneaky smirk. "so what, you stalk pretty rich girls and you what, kidnap them?" kenzie asked in a jokey way.

harvey gasped.

"how did you know" he laughed. "but no, i show rich boys and girls, like yourself, what it's like to actually have fun" he embellished on the fun part, as they turned a corner. "trust me, it's fun" he stopped and knocked on a door.

knock! knock! knock!

harvey took a step back and waited for the door to open. he smiled at the smaller, dark haired teen who had opened the door. "hey ace" he smiled as he took kenzie's hand and pulled her into the party.

there was a lot of flashy lights and people dancing. kenzie didn't know what to do. "come with me" harvey yelled over the loud music. she followed him into a room that was just off from the party.

"what is this where you rape everyone" kenzie joked again. "no, this is where i take the rich and snobby people to have their first ever drink and make sure nobody out there spikes them" harvey smiled. kenzie did admire the courage this boy had to protect people.

"i've had alcohol before"

"what a little sip of mommy's wine and that's you, out cold" harvey laughed. he poured her a drink and passed it to her. "trust me, you'll love it" he smirked.

kenzie hesitantly drank it. her face went from worried to happy. "told you" he smiled. "god what was in that" she asked him, wanting more. "it's called vodka, it will change your life" he smiled some more. "well it's good" she smiled and drank some more.

"what if i get drunk"

"you'll stay in the bedroom up the stairs"

"and what if i want to do this again" kenzie asked. "you text me and i bring you to a party and you can have whatever you want" he smiled. "what kind of things" she asked him, slightly curious. "anything you want, drugs, alcohol, anything" he smirked a little.

"so who are all these people" kenzie asked after they'd both had a few drinks. "mostly friends, some are people who used to be like you, wanting to impress mommy and daddy, but soon they realised they just wanted to live a normal life" kenzie scoffed. "this is normal" harvey nodded. kenzie was baffled by the fact people enjoyed flashy lights and loud music.

"so that day we bumped into each other" she asked him curiously. "that was an accident, but your stories just like everyone else's. i just took a few guesses" he laughed.

"so mr harvey mills, what's your life like"

there was a moment of silence. "another drink" he asked kenzie, standing up and pouring himself another one. "don't avoid my question" kenzie grabbed the bottle of vodka he was pouring into his glass. "what's your life like" she asked him again. "give me the bottle back" he demanded. "not until you answer my question" kenzie teases him. he suddenly lost it and pushed her, grabbing the bottle as she fell.

he suddenly realised what he'd done. "i...i'm sorry" he turned away, going to make his drink. kenzie brushed herself off. "why'd you do that" she asked him. "why are you so rude, you know everything about me and i know nothing about you. as soon as i ask i'm pushed" kenzie was almost yelling at him. "i-" harvey hadn't even began.

"no, i don't want excuses"

"i'm leaving" and with that, kenzie has left. harvey was left standing there with a bottle of vodka and two empty glasses. he sighed and shut the door. he stood against it and slowly slid down it. he put his head in his hands and started crying.
