CHAPTER TEN:
FROZENharvey was used to being kicked out of his own house, but he'd never been kicked out of someone else's house.
he was walking back home when he was stopped by 3 teens. all about 18/19 and quite well built. "look, you have two options here, give us your money or give us your fucking money" the middle one said. "i don't have any" harvey told them.
"i don't believe you"
"shake em boys" he shouted. harvey was suddenly grabbed by two other boys and turned upside down. they shook him a little but nothing fell out. "faggot" one of the others boys said as he booted harvey in the face.
harvey was dropped and they left, away to bother someone else.
harvey coughed up a bit of blood and he stood up and continued on his path home. he didn't want to go home but he had no choice.
harvey opened the door to his house and was met by a smiling woman. harvey's knees got weak and he felt himself froze.
he wanted to run, he wanted to run and never stop but his body wouldn't let him.
he got more tense with each step she was taking, harvey trying to back up against the door more and more.
eventually she was in front of him, towering over him like a big building. harvey closed his eyes waiting.
kenzie sat in her room and watched the tv. she was watching spongebob and playing the piano, or keyboard as she has in her room.
"hey sis" sammy smiled as he walked into her room, kenzie jumped a mile. "omg sammy knock next time" she laughed, throwing a pillow at him. he caught it and jumped on her bed.
"i heard you and dad arguing" sammy smiled.
"so that's why you came in here" kenzie said, sammy smirked a little. "what was it about though" he asked her, curious. sammy was the kind of guy who loved drama and disagreements.
"i had a boy over"
sammy dramatically gasped "how dare you" he said, sarcastically. "i couldn't believe i trusted you and now you betrayed the most sacred rule of all" sammy pretended to cry. "the no boy rule" kenzie laughed.
"shut up stupid"
"so anyway, who was it" sammy asked kenzie. "it was harvey" kenzie admitted. she knew she could share anything with her brother.
"why was he here"
"i was helping"
"no offence sis but i don't think getting him kicked out of our house counts as helping" sammy laughed. "i was trying to" kenzie corrected herself.
"what were you helping him with"
kenzie took a deep breath and told sammy everything. everything that her and harvey talking about, about his life. the answers to all the questions she'd asked him.
"woah" sammy paused for a moment to take it all in. "so he really can't read or write" sammy asked, kenzie shrugged. "i don't know, i've never seen him try" she sighed.
"well let's find out"
