Liam took me to his apartment. I was dazed.
He took a step towards me, eradicating the space between us.
When he began taking off my clothes, I knew where this was heading but I didn't stop him.

*. *. *. *. *. *
"You're not Jayla..."
I sat up with a start. I didn't know what to say but somewhat glad on the inside. If he knew I was Jael all along and still went ahead that meant he was with me, for me.

"You didn't think you could fool me, did you?" He chuckled.

He stepped unto the balcony and got on the phone with his buddy Tommy Jackson.
Tommy Jackson was the school's quarterback and the golden boy.
"Boy, how did I get so lucky?"
I overheard his end of the conversation, puzzled. Was that a compliment?
"Though I still wish it was Jayla, how cool is it to hook up with her twin. I bet it feels same." He let out a hearty laugh.
I was enraged and stormed into the balcony.
"You're a disgusting prick!" I hit him hard on his face. He was a jerk but I was the bigger clown.
"Oh no, you didn't! You dare hit me after I did you a huge favour! I mean, who'll ever want you? You'll probably die an old hag!"
Those words pierced through my heart. No one has said such hurtful words to me.
He got up and headed for the shower.
"Get your miserable self out of my apartment before I get back there."

I couldn't believe he made me make the walk of shame on the dark streets of Austin like some shameless slut. It was only bearable when I saw the Porsche ahead. Thank goodness his apartment wasn't too far from Lana's. I just wanted to get back to Myles'.

When I got in, I checked my phone, it was a half past two. I had to head home now. Myles would be worried sick.

All I wanted to do is put this day behind me.

When I got to Myles', he was still up.
"I told you not to wait up for me."
"You promised to be back before midnight. My parents could have noticed that you sneaked out."
"That's why they didn't Myles. Relax"
He calmed.
"How was it?"
"Nothing unusual."

I wasn't ready to talk. I didn't know how to feel about what just transpired. To a normal high school girl, this was just a usual night but I felt different- used, defeated.

My parents, Jeremy and Renée Carlson Whyte, never let me live a little. They are devout Christians. I just wished they would loosen up a little.
I don't know if my baby brother's death had something to do with it, but they were very security conscious. Mum said someone broke into the house and attacked them. That doesn't make any sense but she doesn't like to talk about it and so does my dad. It took intense pleading to persuade them to let me sleepover at Myles' but that was under the condition that his parents were at home. And he was just next door.

Besides, He was my best friend, it wasn't like there was something amorous between us.
Sometimes, I feel really suffocated at home.

"Nothing, huh?" Myles' voice broke into my reverie.
He could tell I was hiding something. We never hid anything from each other but I wasn't going to tell him I just lost a precious part of myself to some jerk and I now regret it.
He'll never help me sneak out again.

"You know you can tell me anything." He moved closer and hugged me.
"I know Myles... it's late. I want to get some sleep." I snuggled away to my bed.

But that night, sleep left me. As I lay in bed, I could feel it. The perfect storm was on its way...
