After school, I called Jayla.
"Jael"
"Jayla. I called to tell you to go on ahead. I'm on my way to Myles' "
"Any problem?"
"No. We just have to get a certain procedure right."
"Oh okay. Have fun."

I picked a cab and headed downtown. I was following Liam. Yeah I know what you're thinking. But I ain't stopping now. I'm in this mess because of him.
Myles is disgusted by my presence. My parents are disappointed in me. My siblings are disappointed too, I know though they wouldn't admit it. What's more, Grandpa Whyte hasn't called for a whole month.
I haven't felt this much pain in my heart for a long while.
Besides, I love the adrenaline rush.

I always knew Liam was into something shady. He flaunts great wealth but from what I've gathered his parents aren't so well to do even to afford Briarwood. I checked payments made and it came from accounts in his name.
And before you ask, no, that account was not a trust fund. How do I know all this? He was my crush for 5years. I know everything about him. Too bad, he had to take advantage of me, we could have had something beautiful together.

The elderly cab driver alerted me.
"Beautiful, we're here"
"Thank you Sir."
"This is a dangerous place for a girl like you. Take care."

I appreciated his care and concern but what did he mean by a girl like me. I hated when people underestimated me. I'm just as capable, you know.

I saw him sneak into an abandoned warehouse. What in the world was he doing there? I followed him keenly yet keeping a safe distance. I peeped through the slightly opened door.

Liam stood shaking as another man appeared from the dark. I'm not into old men but he was ravishing. From the colour of his skin and his husky accent, I could tell he was Hispanic. He spotted a month's old scruffy beard. His aura was that of power. You could smell it.

Liam handed him a briefcase full of fresh crisp notes in bundles. The man checked the amount and handed over a portion of the money to Liam. Liam immediately put the money away in a small sac. It looked like a commission but for what?
He looked like a hungry hyena blessed to partake in a lion's meal as he hurriedly tucked the notes away.

I loved the mystery. I was yearning to know the deal between those two.

I felt someone grab me from behind.
"Is rude to eavesdrop, you know princess?" A pot bellied mobster looking guy stated provocatively. His hands firmly gripping my tiny frame as he winked at me.

I am so busted.
