Mr. Roberts always helped me sneak out to Myles but he had to go be with his family in New York. His wife, Serwaa, was a cook at Grandpa Whyte's New York residence and Grandpa Whyte offered them a home in New York.

I knew they had four kids but I hadn't seen any of them before. I know my mum brought them from Ghana to the States but I was never really interested in the reason why she did.

*. *. *. *. *. *.
I had seen Jason sneak out on several occasions without getting caught. He was a pro at it. I could certainly do same. I picked a leather jacket over a tank top on leather pants. I looked like The Executioner in my black outfit. I chuckled at the thought.

I cautiously but briskly walked out of the room. I couldn't use the main door, it was highly secured and so was the back door. I could use the garage door but wait! I'll have to turn the cameras off.

I sneaked into my dad's study. Why on earth did he leave the computer on? Thank Goodness. I did not know the computer's passcode anyway.
I turned off all the cameras overlooking the various angles of the big compound and the gate.

I hurried to the basement. The lab had already started collecting dust. I missed this place but now wasn't the time. I could sneak into the lab some other time. Now I've got to see Myles.

I got into the garage. There were so many cars in there. I seriously don't get why Jason gets to drive and I don't. Ok, so he's older than me and legal but that doesn't matter.

I've driven Myles' car several times with him and nothing happened.
Myles was pretty firm but with a puppy face and a poo pity party, he could never say no.
He taught me how to drive, how to toughen up and not let the bullies get to my head, taught me the ins and outs outs of everything he knew in Chemistry, only fueling my drive to study forensics.
He was the only one who's ever told me I am pretty and he was the best buddy I could ever have.

Mum would get a heart attack if she knew what I've been up to. I laughed at the thought.

I unlocked the garage door and it slid open.
Omg... I'm so dead.

When I looked up, my dad was standing right behind the door, arms crossed across his chest and the look on his face was nothing close to excitement.

"Young lady, you have a lot of explaining to do."
"Father I-
"Did you really think you could go pass security without me knowing? My tech empire is not on the number 1 slot for nothing, you know."
"So you saw me-
"Yes, I did Jael. I left the computer on so I could track you. I wanted to know if you figured another route out of the house that I didn't know of. Sadly for you, you used the same route your brother used."
"You knew about Jason?"
"I know everything that goes on in the mansion. I just choose not to speak about it or you mum would have killed you three by now."
I burst into laughter. He continued
"Jason thinks the same way I did when I was his age so I always know his next move. Besides, he's a guy. He can take care of himself. What the heck are going out to do at this time of the night?"
"Relax dad, it's just 11pm."
"Just... huh?"
"I'm going over to M-
"Not happening. Get in."
