Chapter 26: "Just Sing"

Then a heartbeat was vaguely heard. Cooper looked down to see that it was going from him and there was a faint glow along with it. So he grabbed a mic and held it up to his heart so everyone could hear it. Prince D then beat box to the beat.

"Those are my sons, making music," Essence said.

As they continued, everyone started clapping to the beat.

"Queen Barb can't take away something that's inside us. 'Cause that's where music really comes from," Essence continued.

"It started with the strings, but now it comes from us," Quincy added.

Then the twin brothers went on the stage.

"Yeah. It comes from our experiences," Prince D said.

"Our lives," Jamie smiled, taking Branch's hand, which he smiled in return.

"Our culture," Essence stated.

"Beautiful," the Classical conductor commented.

"Listen to that. Barb can't take that away," Poppy replied.

As it quieted down, the sisters and Branch stepped forward.

[Poppy:]

As they sang, their colors returned. Barb was beyond confused.

"Dad?" she asked.

"It's alright, Barbara. Just let them be what they wanna be. Including you," her dad said, his colors returning.

And the same happened for the other trolls.
