Valedictorian

Dein's POV

Here we are now. Nakatayo habang hinihintay ang paglabas nang result kung sino ang valedictorian. Akalain niyo yun after nang sobrang paghihirap ko sa pag-aaral. Ga-graduate na kami ni Sam. Sa sobrang dami nang tao dito ngayon ang init init. Buti na lang nasa unahan kami ni Sammy ngayon kaya nakakapag-usap pa kami.

"Hey are you excited or nervous" Sam said while smiling.

"I'm fine. Nope cause I am happy cause I know we study well this school year" I replied while smiling too.

"Then we'll see, kung makukuha mo ang pinaghirapan mo this school year" Sam said while smirking.

"Correction not mine, OURS" I said while emphasizing the word ours.

After an minute, lumabas na ang result and that makes my eyes literally wide open. I can't believe that I do it again. Correction we do it again. I am the valedictorian of our class while Sam is the salutatorian of our class.

I tightly hugged Sam while saying " thank you sa pagtitiwala at hindi pagsuko sakin kahit kasuko suko naman talaga ang ugali ko kapag tinitopak ako ha" after that humiwalay na ako sa pagkakayakap and I smile at him.

He grabbed my wrist dahil akmang tatalikod na ako para umalis. Dahil sa lakas nang pagkakahila niya napaharap ako sa kanya at nabigla din ako nang bigla nya akong niyakap while saying "you are always welcome my princess" then I hugged him back kasi naalala ko sa kanya si kuya Clyde.

It make sense that our graduation was fast approaching and also my birthday. Change topic na. Wala pa akong balak sa birthday ko kahit ano na lang basta masaya ako, okay na ako dun. Sammy gives me a treat to EK but before we go there. Humingi muna ako nang permission kay mom and dad sa call nga lang.

-Mom on phone-

"Mom can I go to to EK now with Sammy" I said with a sweet tone.

"For what?" My mom replied.

"We are going celebrate our success" pasigaw ko nang tugon.

"About the quiz bee ba yan?" She replied

"Nope mom. It is about your rankings. I am the class valedictorian while Sammy is the salutatorian" pagpapaliwanag ko sa kanya.

"Congratulations sweetheart, you are always making me proud anak" aniya.

"So? Are letting me go?" Tugon ko nang may pag-aalinlangan natatakot ako sa magiging sagot niya.

"I go for a yes but I don't know if it is fine with your dad's decision" she said

" Thanks Mom I am going to end this call, I miss you and I love you Mom, hope to see you soon." I replied and I ended up the call.

Pagkatapos ko tawagan si mom isinunod ko na si dad alam ko namang papayag yun ako pa ba. Only child iba ang hiwaga nang only child diba. Haha sorry for that I am just happy.

-Dad on phone-

"Hello Dad are you busy?" Pauna kong bati sa kanya.

"Nope, sweetheart kakatapos lang nang meeting namin nang mga investors natin. Is there a problem? Bakit ka napatawag?" He replied nang May pag aalala.

"No dad. I am calling you cause I need your permission" straight to the point na ako excited na talaga akong mag EK ea.

"Permission?" Nag aalinlanging sagot ni dad

"Yes dad, me and Sam are going to EK to celebrate our success" I replied in a jolly tone.

"Celebrate? Did you have a contest again? And you won" dad replied.
