"I'm already so excited", Gerard grinned, smiling up at Bert as he put his bag down against his desk.
"Same Baby", Bert smiled back, gently kissing Gerard before walking over to his closet, pulling some of his own clothes out and putting them on his bed. Gerard opened his bag and pulled the clothes out he had brought with him, smiling at the red tie.
"Can't believe we're doing something so fancy", he giggled and smoothed his shirt down against the desk. Luckily, it hadn't gotten any crinkles while it was stuffed in his bag.
They wanted to go to the theater tonight. It wasn't actually that fancy, but they would actually see people perform a stage play of Phantom of the Opera. It wasn't like a normal visit to like, the cinema or something like that. To Gerard, it was something fancy, because going to the theater was something he had never done before. Well, besides Mikeys stage play from middle school, were he had played a butcher and sang a song about how the knife goes inside the body and how the intestines come out. Fucking hell.
"You're gonna look so good tonight", Bert grinned and took his shirt and sweatpants off to change into his dress pants and button up. The older had told him to wear a black button up with black pants so they would match more.
"I know you told me to wear black dress pants, but I actually don't own any", Gerard confessed and looked down a little embarrassed. "I brought black skinny jeans instead. Is that bad?", he asked, looking up at Bert with a slightly scared look.
"Oh", Bert sighed, looking down at his dress pants. "I guess I wear black skinnys as well then", he said and folded the dress pants together again, tugging a pair of black skinny jeans out of his closet instead.
"You can wear the dress pants though", Gerard said, frowning slightly as he watched Bert turn around to him with a look of utter disgust.
"I want us to match", he almost demanded and Gerard nodded, taking his own clothes off and pulling his jeans on. Bert did the same, turning around again and running a hand through his hair as he looked at his reflection in his mirror, tieing his red tie. Gerard took the black long sleeved shirt, which he had brought as well, out of his bag, to wear it underneath the button up. It was almost the end of October already and it was getting colder each day. He folded the shirt up slightly to put it on easier as Bert grabbed his arm, stopping his movements. Gerard looked up at him confused and followed Berts gaze down to his chest, seeing the guitar pick necklace Frank had given him two weeks ago.
"What?", Gerard asked confused, furrowing his brows at the older and dropping his arms, the shirt still in his hands.
"You're wearing that necklace?", Bert asked, not a single emotion in his voice, staring at the small necklace with such a fierce look that Gerard gulped.
"Y-Yeah. I never really take it off", he said quietly, searching Berts face for any kind of emotion, but finding none. "I-Is that bad?", he stuttered, his voice getting even quieter.
"Honestly, yeah", Bert sighed, finally meeting Gerards eyes, making the younger tremble slightly and drop his shirt as he saw all the anger in his eyes. "I don't like it. It makes me feel like I'm just another one of your friends".
"But you're my boyfriend", Gerard exclaimed, looking down at his arm and the bracelet Bert had given him. He never took that one off either. "Frank gave it to me because he was proud of me, because my mental health got so much better. Not because he loves me and you know that as well", Gerard explained, feeling his lip quiver as Berts gaze didn't soften.
"I already hate it when you wear it when we fuck. It makes me think of how Frank touched you, how he looks at you and how he treats you like you're his everything", the older growled, his grip on Gerards wrists tightening slightly.
