Chapter 11

Abby's POV

Pumasok na ako't pinark ang kotse ko sa parking lot ng school.

I got my backpack at the backseat and off to go.

I was about to walk to my first subject when I saw Sheki going out from her car.

Nakita naman ako nito.

"Oh, Mars! Tara, sabay na tayo?" she went in front of me.

"Let's go." then we walked together to our first subject.

It's Monday and my first subject is English Literature.

After an hour ay nag-dismiss na rin ang prof. All students in the room got outside to proceed to their next class.

Kung kanina ay kasama ko si Sheki, ngayon naman ay kasama na namin sina Alice, Coleen, Dana, Gabb, and Lara.

This next subject is history and I'm very excited about it. Before, I'm not even interested in other subjects and this subject is the only one I give my ears on.

But now that I'm trying to be a good and decent person—lol. Do I even look like a garbage collector?

Anyways, I spotted a vacant seat na walang nakaupo. Dzuh, kaya nga vacant eh.

Umupo ako sa tabi ni Lara dahil katabi niya ang upuan na bakante.

I looked at my right side and another chair is vacant. However, there's a small bag on its table. Maybe the owner is from one of the students who used this room before us.

Tatanungin ko na sana kay Lara kung kanino 'yung bag nang biglang may pumasok sa room.

Para namang nagkorteng puso ang mga mata ko nang pumasok sa room ang kaisa-isang babaeng laman ng isip ko mula pa kagabi.

Napatingin ito sa direksyon ko at nang makita ako ay ngumiti ito.

Para naman akong naestatwa dahil do'n.

Wait, what? Did she smile at me? Did she really... Like, seriously? OMG—

"Huy, natulala kana jan uy." napabalik naman ako sa realidad nang magsalita 'tong katabi ko. Lara with her bisaya accent.

I shook my head and composed myself before turning my gaze on Sela.

Papalapit ito sa direksyon ko kaya gano'n na lamang ang tibok ng puso ko. Easy ka lang Abby!

She then sit beside me and that's when I realized that she's the owner of that small bag.

"Baka matunaw." sinamaan ko naman ng tingin si Coleen mula sa pwesto ko. Nasa harapan kasi ako nito at katabi niya si Mari na nasa likuran naman ni Marsela.

Maya-maya pa'y nag-umpisa na ang lesson nang pumasok na si Sir Allan or should I say, Sir A.

Nagtataka man dahil alam naming PE teacher ito ay nawala rin nang sabihin nitong siya ang aming substitute teacher ngayon.

"Okay, class, good day. Since wala naman akong idea kung ano supposedly ang topic niyo ngayon kay Miss Anne, let's talk about discipline na lang and its anatomy."

Lumapit ito sa board at may sinulat.

Napansin kong natawa nang bahagya ang iba sa unahan namin including Gabb and Sheki.

Nagtataka ko naman tiningnan itong katabi ko at si Alice dahil nakatakip rin sa bibig nito ang mga kamay nito.

I turned my head to look at where they're looking and immediately suppressed my laugh.
