Chapter 20

Abby's POV

Okay, what just happened?

Napatingin lang eh. Maganda kasi 'yung suot nila. Sadyang marunong lang akong mag-appreciate ng outfits. Aysh, nevermind. Nag-walk out na rin naman siya.

And just an hour later, I found myself lost from finding her. Not really lost 'cause I actually know this place. I can't be lost in here.

I just couldn't find her.

Naisipan kong maglakad na lang nang maglakad hanggang sa kung saan na lang ako dalhin ng mga paa ko.

I look around and I am being surrounded by different food stalls. I still can't find her so I started walking to find a seat and thinking to rest just for a bit.

Ugh, nakakapagod pero hindi ko maiwasang isipin 'yung babaeng 'yun. I'm sure, she can't even find her way home and that's making me feel guilty even more.

It's her first time here, I could see that in her eyes when we got here.

Asan ka na ba, Marsela?

I'm starting to starve but I can't find a way to eat. She's still inside my head.

I sat down on the bench and got my phone inside my pocket. After finding her name on the contacts, I pressed the call button–dialing her.

Hindi pa nakakatatlong ring ang telepono ay biglang nahagip ng mata ko ang isang senaryo sa hindi kalayuan.

Bitbit ang phone na bahagyang nakadikit sa aking tenga, naglakad ako palapit doon.

I suddenly feel the nervousness coming from my body while walking carefully towards the scene in front of me.

Hindi ko maipaliwanag pero parang biglang nag-init ang dugo ko sa unti-unting nasasaksihan ko. Hindi kaya...?

I shook my head to avoid the negative thought inside my mind. It's not even helping.

Dahan-dahan akong naglakad palapit sa mga lalaking nagkukumpulan sa isang lamesa katabi ng isang food stall.

I looked at the vendor and he's busy doing his thing so he cannot see what's happening around him. The table is located behind the food stall and the surrounding is pretty dark there because it's on the secluded part of the park.

I turned back my head to look at the people on the said area. When I walked closer to them, there are three boys on the table and I was able to see that they are cornering something...or someone.

My blood suddenly boils when I completely saw the person they're cornering in.

"Is there any problem here?" I saw the guys stiffen because of the sudden voice that belongs to mine.

I walked in front of them and immediately saw Sela who sighed in relief after realizing that it's me.

The guys turned their head also to see me and my expression instantly turned blank.

"May problema ba tayo rito, Marsela?" I asked her not minding these three guys whose eyes went big upon recognizing me.

She got her bag and food and immediately went behind me, still looking down. I put my right arm around her securely.

"A-Abby..."

I looked at Vanrick with my poker face still on, "Anong ginawa niyo kay Sela?" I asked.

"W-wala! We didn't do anything wrong. 'Di ba, guys?" he asks the other two.

"O-Oo! You can ask her!" Isac pointed the girl at my back.
