Chapter 45 (Part 1)
"Everyone, I want to introduce the newest member of our team. He is Eris."
I step aback when he reach my place and stop in front of us.
He's wearing the same uniform that other players wearing.
I was afraid of those gaze of him.
"Are you serious, Coach?" Mark's exclaimed. Dama ang tensyon sa pananalita ni Mark. Diretso siyang tumingin sa direksyon ni Eris. I can feel the tension on their stares.
Ano namang maitutulong niyan? Ngayon nga lang siya umattend ng training then all of a sudden he will be part of the team?" he grinned.
I tightly hold Mark's hand. He just gave me a glance.
I want him to stop. I want him to calm down.
"He's also a varsity player from other school so we don't need to worry about. He's a big help to our team. Kung hindi man siya nakapag-train, then, it's his chance to cope up to our strategies.
I don't know what's on his mind. He's still calm.
That's not the usual Eris I knew.
"Find another player!" May diin na sabi ni Mark.
"We don't had a choice, Mark!" Their coach said, madness painted in his eyes. Walang gustong magsalita. Walang gustong makisali.
"We will be disqualified if we won't add him to our team. We are lack of players! We are running out of time. The game will start for tomorrow. What do you want me to do?"
"I won't play," Nakatingin ako kay Mark ng muli siyang magsalita. "Kung ipipilit niyong isali 'yan. Then, find another player that will substitute to my position."
Napakamot sa batok yung coach nila. Alam kong pare-parehas lang silang pagod kaya sila nagkakaganito.
"We are team here! We should help each other. Kung hindi ka maglalaro, what will happen to our team? Kung kulang tayo ng players, do you think we can play well? Do you think they will allow us to play? No! Don't be too selfish, Mark! We don't trained for almost two months just for nothing!" Malalim ang bawat tingin ni Mark. Alam kong pinipigilan niyang sumabog yung emosyong nararamdaman niya. "Don't let your issues affect you. Settle down your problems first before we start the training!"
"Open the door. Let's talk, please, open this."
They need to settle this. Bukas na yung laban nila from other school kaya kailangan nilang ipagpatuloy yung training. They worked for this and I don't want to lose their chance to win.
We seat on available chair near at the locker area.
