Chapter 6: Love your Enemies

*Lexis' POV*

"Love your Enemies like you love yourself" sagot ni Adeya sa tanong na kung ano ang mensaheng hatid ng poem na binasa nila ng english teacher namin si Miss Christine.

Syempre naman nila. Class reading yun ei kaya lahat kami dapat sabay sabay magbasa oraly. Nakakasakit kaya sa ulo ang mga ganun.

Di sabay sabay tapos 2 page poem pa naman iyon kaya. Inidlipan ko na lang tutal nabasa ko naman ito matagal na sa library. Sa totoo lang kakagising ko lang rin hahahaha.

"Maam I have a question though it might not be directly related to the poem"  narinig kong sabi ni Belle.

"Go for it Belle" reply ni maam.

"Maam is that why Lexis and Jenovice are like cats and dogs in this little cage like room?"
Nagsihiyawan ang mga kaklase ko.

Mga walang hiya tung mga to oh kaloka ako pa ang dinamay sa reflection ng poem.

"It might be. But let us not decide for the things that are too bright for us to see cause we may be blinded by it" sagot ni maam at nagbell na hudyat ng Recess.

Well said Maam Christine kaya ikaw favorite kong teacher kahit halos lagi ko ng tinutulugan subject mo tuwing may binabasa tayo hahaha.. Nasa library naman kasi yun ei tas nasa textbook pa.

"Can I sit here" tanong ni madam Claire.

" Don't you hate us Clare? And why are you so being kind today huh?" Sagot ni Taylor

" Oh shut up for Pete's sake. Im only doing this to make you guys see that you'll forever be my enimies. Love your enemies right ?" Claire said sarcasticly.

"Shut up claire reflecting a poem doesn't require real life chances you know" i glared at her.

"You shut up sleepy sloth. And could you stay away from my Jenovice okay his mine to flirt with not yours" mataray niyang sabi tapos umalis na at umupo dun sa table of mischief friends niya.

Kaloka tung babaeng to solohin mo si jenovice mo malandii.

"Yan kasi lexy ei.. asot pusa kayo kaya ganyan daming issues sa inyo" banat ni Tyler.

"Tama nga.. ano ba talagang connection niyong dalawa ha.. baka mamaya kayo na pala ayiieee" dugtong naman ni Taylor

"Tumigil nga kayo.. you guys know better that there is absolutely nothing between me and that brainless moron" sabi ko sabay kain ng pagkain ko.

"Whatever you say" sabay nilang sagot sa akin.

"Wait lang nasan ba si Enrique ha?" Tanong ko malapit na kasing matapos yung break time.

Tsaka lagi naman kaming apat magkakasama tuwing break tapos kung in case man di kami magkakasama ay alam ng lahat kung nasaan yung wala. Yan policy namin ei para strong yung friendship bond namin.

"Di ko alam" sagot ni taylor habang puno yung bunganga niya ng fries.

"Stop talking while your mouth is full Taylor" ani naman ni Tyler sabay punas ng ketchup na nasa pisngi ng babaeng to.

"Naku kung may in a relationship man dito ei kayo yun undi ako jusko nilalanggam na nikanakain ko oh" sabi ko sa dalawa.

"Well everybody knows that lex" Tyler replied.

"Luh saan yung  langgam baka lumipat sa pagkain ko sayang... akin na lang pagkain mo kung ayaw mo na kainin kasi may langgam" sagot ulit ni Taylor habang puno ang bunganga.

"Sabing wag magsalita ei kumain ka na lang nga" sabi ni Tyler sabay batok ng mahina sa ulo ni Taylor.

"Mashakeetttt" sagot ni Taylor at napa face-palm nalang si Tyler.

Itong babae kasing ito laging puno yung bunganga. Di mabusogbusog. Tapos tong boyprend niya slash bestfriend namin na si Tyler ay para namang tatay ng grupo sobra pa sa tatay kong makapag aruga sa aming tatlo. Hahhahaha.

Ai wait lang. Kung nagtataka kayo kung sino si Madam Claire siya lang naman yung Flower Queen nung last year na Spring Fling tapos nag rereyna reynahan sa school.

Well Maganda naman talaga siya tapos madami rin siyang fans ang problema lang kasi yung ugali niya. Paminsan mabait paminsan naman Demonyita.

In fact the whole campus knows here attitude but still they admired her. She is really intellegent though. She won a bunch of awards and contests already. But people tend to say that the only reason she wins then is because I myself doesn't join.

Well the truth is I don't like joining at all and  I am proud to admit defeat if ever I was forced to join one.

Hinahangaan ko rin siya sa talino at pagiging independent niya pero kaloka lang talaga ugali niya kaya pinapabayaan ko na lang.

Natapos na ang mga klase at mag-isa na lang akong naiwalan sa room. Halos may mga after school club activities kasi sila lahat. Wala naman akong club na sinalihan pero may after school activity rin ako.

Saan? Edi sa library.

I scanned the bookshelves looking for a new enticing book to read. As I was doing it so, I saw a huge shadow on the floor. It bugged me so I went to see who it was.

And to my surprise I saw a couple making out at the corner. I was about to interrupt them but a fimiliar voice spoke first.

"The library is for educating ourselves properly not a place where you make out if you can't afford a room", Enrique said and the couple was startled by his deep authorative voice. They began to fix theirselves and with heads lowered they left the place.

"Hey, Ric where were you during the break. You didn't show up without saying where you went?"

He did not answered and turned his back on me. It was as if he did not see me at all. I followed him until we were outside the library. I took a deep breath and grabbed his shoulders.

"Ric ano bang problema mo. Sabihin mo naman o baka makatulong kami."

"Why?" He sad lowly.

"Cause that's what friends are for right?"

"Oh yeah right. I'm fine I'm definitely okay"

"I know you're not okay cause your eyes blink rapidly when you lie you know. Tell me the truth maybe I could help."

"Fine. This so called friendship is the problem lex okay do you get it. Its in my way it bothers me"

I was shocked when he said that I felt my heart ache. Why would he say that after everything that weve been through together. Now he just throws us out? Or is it just me?

I felt a tear dropped from my eyes so I turned around.

I just couldn't bare what he just said. I closed my eyes and ran as fast as I could on the hallway.

I didn't mind the people I was bumping in to. I just wanna get home and cry myself out.
