"H, you seriously need a girlfriend," I commented with a laugh as my best friend sat across from me with Chinese takeout in his lap.
"'M perfectly fine being single," Harry shrugged. "'Sides, there aren't many girls in my line of work worth it," he shrugged again.
"Okay, rockstar. You could have any girl in the world," I replied sarcastically.
"Don't want jus' 'ny girl." Our conversation then drifted onto something else.--- --- ---
"Hi," I said placing a soft kiss to my boyfriends lips.
"Hi," he hummed against my lips. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, stop filming all these movies that aren't in LA," I said sarcastically.
"Done, never filming again," he joked.
We made our way to my couch and I laid in his arms.
"How was it?"
"Fantastic, it all came together so well. I think this is really going to be a hit," he said before continuing to tell me about his 9 months of filming on some Island.
Jason and I had been dating for 1 year now. He was a movie producer and director, I was a music producer, and songwriter. 3 months into dating Jason began his new movie project and while we both were at very early stages in our relationship we decided to try and make it work by seeing each other when our schedules allowed and FaceTiming. It wasn't easy. Not seeing your boyfriend frequently over 9 months is hard, especially for a new relationship, but we made it work."This set is beautiful," I said as we walked hand in hand down the beach. The props they had set up looked magical. Jason had been gone for 5 months now, dating 8. I missed him to say the least.
"It's coming together so well, the cast is amazing," he said as the water washed over our feet as we walked.
He had a dinner on the beach set up for us with candles and rose pedals, very romantic."This is gorgeous, babe," I said kissing him.
That night he told me he loved me and I was over the moon. Jason was that guy that was always mysterious and reserved, I honestly doubted we'd make it this far but something pulled me to him. He was good for me. He gave me a sense of independence. I never felt like I needed him, we were just partners.
"So, how long until you start talking release dates?" I asked him.
"We're looking at July, it's perfectly in the middle of summer," he commented holding one of his hands up and moving it horizontally as if he could see it.
"That's pretty soon, 9 months. How long will editing take?" I asked. He began to fill me on the process.
That's another thing I loved about Jason, he was so enamored with his work and I loved how his eyes lit with passion when he talked about it.
"Are you still going to that party?" He asked me.
"Yes, you can come y'know," I said looking up at him. "Harry would love to see you."
"I can't, gotta go to the studio and look at some editing with the guys," he said with a small smile. "Give Harry my best," he said kissing my forehead.
His words didn't match his eyes and I tried to avoid the sting I left that he wouldn't be coming with me tonight. He had been gone for 9 months and I hadn't seen him in 2 months. He abruptly left and I was slightly confused. But, I pushed it aside. This project was big for him, it was his first A-Lister film so I could only imagine how stressed he is.
Harry's latest album was coming out in 2 months and he was having his band mates and collaborators come to his house for a small party. Since I was his best friend and producer for a few of the songs, I was going.
