Tom's POV

"Lift your feet up Tom" Maria sighs. I lift my feet up, so she can Hoover under them. "I wish you'd help around the house more"

"I do plenty" I say, as I put my feet down again.

"No you don't you. I've been cleaning all morning and you've just been sitting there texting" she says, rolling her eyes. "Who are you texting anyway?"

"June" I smile.

"Again?" she sighs again.

"You know you're the only girl for me, Maria" I smile, as hold onto her hand and I pull her onto me. She looks into my eyes for a second, before kissing me once on the lips and then standing up again.

"Good. Now help me clean up, you're so lazy" she sighs, but I just wink at her and then she blushes for a second. Even after the amount of time we've been together I still make her blush, that's got to be love hasn't it?

I sometimes wonder whether she still loves me and I mean a lot has gone on in the last few years, but we're probably the only ones that have remained the same, well apart from Siva and Claire of course, nothing could break their perfect relationship. Maybe me and Maria will have that one day. I know she sometimes gets annoyed with me texting June all the time, but she trusts me, she knows I would never do anything to hurt her. I love her and that's all that counts. Me and June met whilst we were filming Chasing The Sun video, she was one of the dancers and we just got talking I suppose. There was nothing romantic about it or even sexual, we just talked about stuff like films we like and music. We have a lot in common, she's like a normal guy mate, but the only difference is, she's a girl, if that makes sense? We meet up a lot and Maria doesn't mind, she's met June and she knows there's no competition. Why would I risk an amazing girl friend, for someone who is just meant to be a friend?

"I'm meeting Jude later" I told her with a small smile on my face. She said she wants to tell me something, which normally means she wants to talk about the new Call Of Duty game. I can talk about things like that with her, whereas Maria just doesn't want to hear it.

"Alright then, but be back for half six because I'm making dinner" she smiles and then I get up to leave.

"Will do, love you" I say as I kiss Maria on the lips, before running out of the door, grabbing my coat on the way.

I run to my car and make my way over to Costa, which is where we normally meet. When I get there, she is already waiting for me with two coffees on the table. I walk over to the table with a smile on my face, but for the first time, she doesn't smile back.

"What's up?" I ask her, as I sit down opposite her.

"Erm Tom, I need to speak to you" she tells me and I sit down slowly. Shit. This sounds serious. I take a sip of my coffee to try and ease my nerves a bit.

"Look Tom, I know it sounds crazy, but I think I love you" she says. Wait. What?

Nathan's POV

When I finally get home, I walk through the door, dreading what Renee might say to me. I mean, I did kind of run off when I was meant to be taking care of my daughter.

"Where have you been?" I hear Renee call from the living room. I close the front door before walking in to explain.

"I had to help a friend" I tell her, as I throw my keys into little bowl, which is on the coffee table.

"Who?" she asks, suspiciously.

"Erm Tom. He got so pissed last night that I had to go and help him. He got lost and everything" I lie.

"So how come you've only just got back?" she asks me.

"Well I was driving all night wasn't I? So I crashed at his place. I don't see what the problem is Renee" I tell her, before turning around to head upstairs.

"There is no problem. I asked you were you were, that's it. You don't need to get all defensive about it" she calls after me, to which I stop and turn back to look at her.

"No, you're accusing me, there's a difference" I tell her.

"Well what do you expect when you leave without warning and then text me telling me that you've piled our daughter off onto one of your friends?" she sighs, as she sits down on the sofa in frustration.

"Look, I'm sorry. I just needed to help him. I'll call you next time" I tell her. I know I shouldn't argue with her about these things after everything we've been through, but sometimes it gets so much with her thinking I'm cheating all the time. I wouldn't do that to her, not again. It almost killed her last time, literally. I can't believe I put her though that and I will continue to feel guilty for the rest of my life. Even though she's forgiven me, I never will.

I sit down next to her, where I put my arm around her and I hold her close.

"I love you, Renee" I tell her.

"I love you too" she sighs.
