Chapter 12.

Yuki stood there holding Soul breathing hard, she was now heavily wounded but the witch was barely wounded at all. “Yuki, use me to block.” Soul said but Yuki only shook her head, another Keshin came forward and Yuki lifted up her arm, her bracer appearing on her wrist and she used it to block herself. The witch had called in Keshins? How does a witch even do that? Yuki wondered to herself but then as another Keshin came forward Yuki used her bracer to block once more before killing them both in one swipe of Soul’s scythe form. Yuki closed one of her eyes falling to one of her knees in pain but she caught herself with her hand.

“Now you can’t dodge.” The witch said charging up a blast in her hands. “I can now hit you and your weapon both.” The Witch added but Yuki’s open eye widened and she slowly opened the other, it now half open she ran and jumped out of the way as the Witch shot the blast, the pure pressure and wind from it knocking her back into a thing of crates and she fell down. Yuki slowly pushed herself up out of the broken crates flinching in pain but she sat the witch in front of her holding a sword. Yuki jumped out of the way as she went to hit and she swung Soul around spinning on her feet but the Witch blocked with her sword right under Soul’s blade. Yuki’s eyes widened seeing she had cut Soul so Yuki jumped back against the wall and kicking her feet up she used the wall to propel herself up and she wall jumped from that wall back to the other wall and she pulled herself onto the roof. Yuki pulled herself up holding Soul with one hand and she was breathing hard.

“Yuki, you need to use me to block! It doesn’t matter if she cuts me! Just do it!” Soul yelled at Yuki making Yuki flinch but Yuki shook her head. “Yuki as a weapon I’m supposed to protect my Meister-” Soul started but Yuki fell down onto her knees in pain. “Yuki!” Soul yelled about to turn to normal but Yuki tightened her grip on his handle.

“You aren’t my weapon. Not yet. I’m not your meister. Not yet. So that rule doesn’t apply to me.” Yuki said using his handle as a prop and she slowly propped herself up. “Besides, I’m not going to just make my weapon do all the work and get hurt because of me.” Yuki said closing her eyes tightly then pushing herself up she flinched as she got to her feet almost falling back down but she leaned against Soul. “We fight together, not with you taking all the damage and doing everything.” Yuki said leaning against him.

“Well right now you are taking all the damage! And we are doing nothing! Look how bad of shape you are in then look at her! Yuki we need to work together, not you taking all the damage! If you take damage and pass out then I’m almost useless, but if I were to get hurt then you could still fight or at least run!” Soul yelled but Yuki flinched as the Witch jumped up next to them and before she could hit either of them Yuki spun Soul around in her hands then as he started to go fast she hit the ground with him and parts of the roof came up all around them, just in time for Yuki to jump back and the Witch hit the roof bits and where she had been.

“Using the things around you to dodge. Smart.” She said making Yuki only flinch as the Witch came at her and Soul. Yuki dodged out of the way but as she was dodging her eyes widened as Maka came out of no where from behind holding Izaya and they swung down on the witch. Yuki flinched but the Witch got hit, it barely cutting her shoulder before she got away going up in the sky.

“Hey, you two alright? I see you are working together.” Maka said making Yuki flinch but then she looked at Yuki and her eyes widened. “Holy crap you took a beating.” Maka said holding Izaya, Izaya turned into his human form and the two went over next to her looking at the wounds on her.

“I’m fine damn it. Focus on that Witch, she’s the one who did this to me and she can turn people against each other!” Yuki yelled but as she said it Maka and Izaya started to get a purple glow and turned towards them with huge smiles on their faces. “Shit!” Yuki yelled jumping back and away from the two.
