Chapter 35.

Yuki sat on the couch waiting for Soul and Blair to come back, she had cooked food and had just put everything in a pot waiting. As Yuki sat on the couch she was hugging her knees, and tilting her head down so she could look at her hair.

“I, don’t remember waking up anywhere but here.” Yuki mumbled but then her eyes widened and she gasped as memories from that day flooded her brain, the disappointed scared, almost crying, look on Blackstar face when he found out, Crona blaming himself, Maka crying, Soul getting scared, Izaya getting punched, she was starting to remember it all. Yuki gasped reaching up to the sides of her head grabbing her hair as she started shaking. “I-I caused all of that pain?” Yuki asked shaking, she slowly lifted her head tears in her eyes and she looked at the front door while shaking. “Damn it.” Yuki muttered shaking looking at the door then after a moment she stood up off the couch and she ran into her room slamming the door behind her, tears dropping off her face as she ran.

After a while, Soul walked in with Blair on his shoulder curled up sleeping, Soul turned closing the door behind him and locking it.

“Hey, Yuki! We are back.” Soul said but then his eyes widened slightly seeing there was food on the burner, the burner on low. Soul walked over to it and turned the burner off. “Yuki?” Soul asked because the lights were on, but Yuki was no where in sight. Soul turned towards her room and walked over to her shut door, Soul reached for the handle but he stopped himself then knocked. “Hey, I’m coming in.” Soul said, no response.

“Huh? Soul? If the doors shut that means Yuki’s in here, so why isn’t she answering?” Blair asked yawning from Soul’s shoulder as she sat up. Soul shrugged and then he went to open the door but it wouldn’t open.

“Hey, Yuki?” Soul asked but then he twisted the door knob again. “Why isn’t it opening?” Soul asked confused but then he tried to push the door open again and it wouldn’t open. Soul started to get a bit panicked she he backed up and turned his shoulder towards the door, then ran at it, ramming his body up against it, and he broke the door open, moving what was in front of it also. Soul looked up and his eyes widened seeing Yuki was at the windowsill opening it. “HEY!” Soul yelled running forward making Yuki’s eyes widened and she turned back looking at him but Soul ran forward grabbing her around the waist and he pulled her away from the window.

“Let me go!” Yuki yelled struggling in his grip, Soul pulled her back, but Blair jumped off his shoulder onto Yuki’s desk and she looked down at something. Yuki tried to get away but Soul pulled her down, collapsing on his legs so they were both on the floor. Yuki tried to push away so Soul wrapped his arms around her, grabbing his wrists with his hands for a stronger grip.

“Will you calm down? The hell got into you? This is so uncool!” Soul yelled angrily but Yuki only flinched then tried to get away more.

“Y-Yuki? What’s this?” Blair asked holding the note up in her cat paw.

“What does it-” Soul started but Yuki shook her head.

“Blair no!” Yuki yelled then tried to get away from Soul more now. Soul grabbed her tighter, wrapping one of his legs around her to stop her from struggling so much.

“Yuki calm the hell down.” Soul said making Yuki flinch and she froze. “Blair read it.” Soul added, Blair took a deep breath, but Yuki just stayed frozen.

“I remembered your guys sad faces when I woke up without my memory, and I was just uncontrollable, I almost hurt all of you, I could’ve hurt all of you! I can’t do that to you guys a third time, and I can’t put you through all of that pain again. I’m leaving the DWMA. I’m leaving Death City. Don’t try to find me. It’s better this way.” Blair finished and Soul looked down at Yuki, but Yuki was just frozen staring at the ground. Soul moved his leg off of her but kept his arms around her. Yuki slowly closed her eyes.
