A girl, Yuki, walked up the steps to the DWMA alone. She was wearing a black hoodie, blue jean shorts and black combat boots with knee high blue socks. As she walked up the steps towards the school people looked her way and said nothing. While a few looked worried, most people were confused on why the others looked worried towards her. No one stopped her, no one talked to her, no one even got near her. The only acknowledgement people gave her were to move out of her way. Her hood kept her face hidden as she walked the halls and said nothing, not meeting eyes with anyone.
Nearby in the school Maka was talking to Soul, Blackstar, and Tsubaki as Kid, Liz, and Patty walked towards them." Hey Kid! Hey Patty! Hey Liz!" Maka spoke with a smile looking their way.
Kid nodded to let her know he had heard her but did not speak, he had been thinking about a conversation him and his Father had previously.
"Hey Maka!" Patty smiled and waved to her. "Hey everyone!" Patty added smiling even bigger if possible.
Liz wouldn't look away from Kid though, worry etched on her face. "Kid? What's wrong?" Tsubaki asked worry now etching her face as well.
Kid flinch then look up at her but he only shook his head looking out the window. "It's nothing." Kid muttered but then he turned seeing the girl walking down the hall but not being able to see her face. "Whose she? Wait..." Kid now was watching her confused. "I don't feel a soul." He mumbled making Maka turn around confused as well.
"Huh?" Maka asked as everyone looked at the girl but then Maka's eyes widened as she didn't feel a soul either.
A few people whispered as the girl walked past them. "Feel a soul? Did you two go crazy?" Soul asked, since he couldn't see souls, but Blackstar just put his hands on his hips then broke out laughing.
"Proving that I am a better Meister than both of you! HA HA HA!" Blackstar said obnoxiously laughing but Tsubaki shook her head looking at the girl. Then Tsubaki's eyes widened.
"I think I've seen her before." Tsubaki mumbled looking at her. "I don't get why I get this feeling, though." Tsubaki added looking at her but Blackstar only laughed again, but before he could say anything else Kid ran forward stopping in front of the girl.
"Patty, Liz!" Kid said, the two were confused if they should, but Liz and Patty both turned into their gun forms, Kid brought them forward and aimed them at the girl in front of them. "Who are you!" Kid said aiming the girls at her. The girl, Yuki, looked up at him then she reached into her pocket. Kid flinched his finger touching the triggers but the girl only pulled out a DWMA ID card, blocking all her information, she showed Kid then she put it back in her pocket.
"Why can't we feel your soul?" Maka asked stepping forward, Soul reached for her wrist to pull her back but Maka ran forward right in front of the girl. The girl looked at her then took off her hood letting her hair fall out of her jacket.
"I don't know." The girl said then turned to Kid. "Death the Kid. Shinigami, Meister. 2 star Meister. Maka Albarn, Human, 1 star meister." The girl said then she curtsied. "I'm Yuki." Yuki said then she turned away from them walking past them, but turning into their classroom. Maka's eyes were wide but then she turned to Kid.
"Did you know about her?" Maka asked but Kid shook his head. Maka turned then followed the girl into the classroom.
"Wait Maka!" Soul said with a groan of annoyance but then he followed her. The others shrugged then also followed Blackstar in the back.
"Wait! What's happening? I'm late one day and everyone looks so confused." Izaya said running up, Blackstar smiled giving Izaya a thumbs up.
"Some purple haired chick appeared today and she seems weak." Blackstar said then broke out with a laugh. Izaya's eyes widened.
"I told her to wait for me!" Izaya said then ran into the classroom. He ran in and saw the others looking at Yuki. "Guys wait! Don't freak out she's my Meister." Izaya said making everyone, including Yuki looked at him.
"She's a Meister? Wait is that how she knew who Maka and Kid were?" Soul asked looking at Izaya. Izaya was about to answer but Yuki looked towards them.
"Soul Eater Evans. Weapon, partner is Maka Albarn." Yuki said then she walked down the steps and over to Izaya, who happened to be the tallest, other than Tsubaki.
"She well, you know how you guys can see souls? Well she can see souls, and get information off souls. If there is information about someone, then she can see it and know who they are, some information doesn't come right away, unless they say or do something that unlocks the information." Izaya said rubbing the back of his head. Yuki looked at him then she looked back at the others and she sighed.
"Sorry for seeming like a freak. I don't like new people but if Izaya knows you guys you must not be that bad." Yuki said with a shrug but Blackstar put his hands on his hips and started to laugh.
"Not that bad? HA HA HA! I am the almight Blackstar! I am the best Meister there is! Of course I'm not bad!" Blackstar said and continued to laugh. Yuki tilted her head.
"Blackstar, one star Meister, you've collected no souls." Yuki mumbled making the others try not to laugh. (I know it says he is 13, but Imma say he is 15-16 because I can. All of them are 15-16 in my book other than Yuki who is the youngest at 14-15.) Blackstar turned to her then pointed his thumb at himself.
"It's because I don't need no pity souls! Besides I'm only a one star because they haven't realized I am the great Blackstar yet!" Blackstar said with a smile then he laughed. "Besides how many stars do you have! Just one!" Blackstar said with a laugh. Yuki tilted her head then she pulled out her ID again.
"But it says I have three stars." Yuki muttered making everyone's eyes widen, Blackstar grabbed it then looked at it. Everyone but Izaya and Kid crowding behind Blackstar to look, but Izaya just sighed.
"How is that possible? You just joined the school didn't you?" Maka asked looking at her. "Besides you are the same age as us!" Maka added in disbelief. Stein sighed rolling in on his chair.
"She's a year younger. She's taking the class because she hasn't learned the basics. She is highly skilled and was only supposed to be a two star meister because of her ability but Lord Death insisted on putting her as a three star Meister. She needed to learn with her own weapon though." Stein said making them all look at him and Yuki grabbed her ID back from Blackstar putting it back in her pocket.
"Professor Stein how do you know all of this?" Maka asked trying not to sound rude but Professor stein just smiled looking at her.
"Because I taught her of course. I adopted her." Stein said with a smile looking at them. Izaya sighed but the group all looked at Stein.
"What!?" Everyone but Yuki and Izaya yelled. Blackstar then passed out making Tsubaki yell out his name worriedly.
"She has a lot of potential she can't use also, which is another reason she is here. Speaking of which, Class is started everyone take your seats. Yuki sit between Izaya and Soul." Stein said making Yuki nod as everyone went to their seats, unsure. A lot of students stairing at Yuki but Izaya just glared at anyone giving her a weird look as she sat down with a soft sigh and so did all the others.
