Chapter 34.

Yuki sat at a table across from Nygus, the two of them talking while the others waited outside the door for them to finish. They had told Nygus what happened, and Nygus said she wanted to talk to Yuki without anyone in the room to see what she remembered and to see if she could tell what had happened. Yuki and Nygus seemed to be having a conversation, only Nygus was mostly talking, and Yuki was mostly just shaking her head no.

“This is stupid.” Izaya said from where he sat. “I don’t see why we couldn’t be in there, wouldn’t it help because she might be able to remember us.” Izaya said but Soul and Blackstar were just quiet looking down at the ground.

“Because Nygus needs to work with her, without us being in there as a distraction. Just calm down Izaya, she hit you in the face hard.” Maka muttered lightly touching her weapon’s cheek but Soul just glared at Izaya for a quick second then looked back at the ground tightening his hands in fists.

“I heard what happened.” Kid said walking up, Liz and Patty next to him.
“Can we see her?” Patty asked sounding worried but Liz sighed.

“Nygus is talking to her.” Liz added looking at the door. “Soul, Blackstar, how are you two doing?” Liz asked, Tsubaki and Maka now looked at Soul and Blackstar worried but the two stayed quiet looking at the floor. “Or you could not answer too…” Liz muttered.

“They haven’t talked yet since we left the room.” Tsubaki said looking at Blackstar but Blackstar only sighed.

“And I am done talking to her.” Nygus said walking out shutting the door for the most part after her, leaving a crack of it open peeking in before looking at the others again. Soul, Blackstar, Izaya, Maka, and Tsubaki all stood up next to Kid, Liz, and Patty now to listened to what Nygus had to say. “She doesn’t seem to remember anything, other than that she’s a meister, but she doesn’t know how to use her soul perception or soul menace. She knows that she can wield a weapon though and that’s it.” Nygus said with a sigh. “It might be, since the witch’s magic was in her memories, when it was forcefully removed like it was, where her memories are stored could’ve been strained, and while it’s trying to heal itself she doesn’t remember anything. She could completely forget, she could remember, I’m not sure. I’m not really that much of a doctor.” Nygus said making Blackstar look at the door to the room and the crack of the door that was open. “I have to go, me and Sid are going on a mission. Someone needs to watch her at all times, Soul if she will let you, you can take her back to your place if that might help.” Nygus said then she walked away. Blackstar watched her go for a second then tightened his hands in fists glaring after her.

“Tsubaki. Come on.” Blackstar said making Tsubaki slightly confused but she nodded and followed him as they walked after Nygus. Soul watched them go and he sighed.

“Blackstar wants to be distracted for a bit… he probably wants to think.” Maka said watching him go. “He will probably follow Sid and Nygus out on a mission and get in the way, but also fight someone.” Maka added but, Soul looked at the door and pushed it open but his eyes widened seeing Yuki sitting cross legged on the bed and she was grabbing her hair, and her head, rocking back and forth. Yuki’s whole body was shaking as she rocked back and forth and she seemed to be whispering things to herself over and over again her eyes wide staring at the bed below her.

“Hey, Hey.” Soul said running over to her and he lightly grabbed her wrists pulling her hands of her head. “Calm down.” Soul added seeing she was breathing hard but Yuki looked up at him from where she had been staring at the ground.

“... W-Who are you?” Yuki asked shaking then she looked back at the bed and she tried to grab her head again but Soul was holding her wrists. “W-Who am I?... W-Where am I? That lady, she asked me a whole bunch of questions I didn’t know the answers to… but she said nothing in return other than her name was Nygus and she was a weapon…” Yuki said then closed her eyes tightly. “I’m a Meister right?” Yuki asked shaking. Soul looked at her and his eyes softened slightly seeing how scared she looked.
