Soul Eater, Who is she really?

Chapter 24.

Yuki was sleeping and Soul walked into her room to ask if she was ready to go, he opened the door and his eyes widened slightly seeing she was still out.

“Yuki. Wake up, you're gonna be late.” Soul said walking over to her and he put his hand on her shoulder but as he did Yuki’s eyes shut tighter and she let out a scream of pain. “Shit Yuki!” Soul yelled getting down by her but Yuki sat up quickly screaming breathing hard. Once she was done screaming she sat there with wide eyes staring straight ahead, sweat dripping down her forehead as her heart pounded in her chest. “Hey, you okay?” Soul asked worriedly sitting next to her on the bed.

“What happened? I heard screaming?” Blair asked running in, while in her cat form and she jumped up on Yuki’s bed. Yuki was breathing hard staring ahead of her, but Soul was looking at her worriedly.

“Sorry… I’ve been having nightmares, they just haven’t gotten that bad.” Yuki mumbled trying to calm herself down and she rubbed her eyes with her hands, but she was trembling furiously. “I think the stress of the upcoming test is making it worse.” Yuki mumbled closing her eyes tightly as she sat there.

“Maybe you should talk to Dr. Medusa?” Blair asked just trying to help but Yuki quickly shook her head and she moved so her legs were hanging off the bed.

“I’m fine…” Yuki said pushing herself to her feet. “Just give me a moment.” Yuki said pushing herself up but she almost fell over as she did.

“Yuki-” Soul started going to catch her but at the angle he did and with the sudden weight from her he fell to the side and Yuki fell on top of him. “Uncool.” Soul muttered but then he flinched and looked at Yuki laying on his chest gripping his shirt tightly. “Hey, I was joking… it’s fine that you fell on me.” Soul started but Yuki slowly sat up and she was straddling his stomach and her hands were on his chest.

“I didn’t hurt you right?” Yuki asked and Soul shook his head looking up at her but he flinched just from the atmosphere of the room and the darkness that loomed over the two. “Thank you.” Yuki said and she bowed her head down slightly.

“What’s partner’s for-” Soul started but Yuki got down putting her hands on each side of Soul’s head and she gave him a quick peck on the cheek making Soul’s eyes widen but Yuki quickly sat up her hair covering her face as she did and she ran over to her dresser grabbing some clothes.

“I- um. Sorry. I’m tired.” Yuki said grabbing her clothes then pressing her back to the wall looking at Soul her hair covering her bright cherry red face. “Y-You don’t have to wait for me, you could be late if you do.” Yuki said then she ducked inside the bathroom slamming the door shut behind her. Soul sat up rubbing his cheek in slight shock, thinking about the whole situation before getting up with a slight smile on his face and he walked into the living room waiting for Yuki so they could head to school together.

Once in class Yuki sighed her head down on her desk as Stein rolled on his chair in front of the class explaining about the written test, but Yuki didn’t lift her head from her desk, almost as if she was sleeping. Stein finished and said that they were all dismissed and everyone started to get up leaving Yuki laying there her arms covering her face as she laid her head on the desk.

“But then, there are some hard workers in this class, Like say, Maka there, who came in second to me last year. Then the lazy ones who fall asleep and just seem stupid all together.” Ox said looking back at Maka and Yuki. Yuki lifted her head and Ox turned back to his partner with a smug grin. “People like her will never turn their weapon into a death scythe, they won’t get far. Then again they both probably won’t-” Ox was cut off as two feet landed on his desk in front of him crouched down to look at him. Yuki put her finger under Ox’s chin to make him look up at her and he flinched his eyes under his glasses widening.
