Yuki sat back on the roof looking up at the sky as it got later and the sky turned different colors of blues, oranges, and purples. Yuki wanted to just lay back, look at the sky, and think, but she knew that it wasn’t going to end up like that and in reality she was going to be stuck doing something else.
“Little help?” Yuki sat up and she saw Soul holding onto the end of the roof pulling himself up. Yuki quickly got up running over to him on the end of the roof and she grabbed his hand pulling him up fully. “Thanks.” Soul said then he looked up at the sky. “Wow.” He muttered but Yuki went back over to her spot sitting down looking at the sky before laying back. “Yuki.” Soul said making Yuki look up at him once more.
“What?” Yuki asked, Soul opened his mouth to talk but then he closed it and sighed. Soul crawled over next to her not getting up afraid he might fall then sat by Yuki just sitting up and looking at the sky instead of laying next to her. Yuki looked up at him then she slowly sat up next to him confused on what he was going to say. “Soul?” She asked him making Soul look up more.
“The sky looks good.” Soul muttered looking at the sky then he turned to look at her. “Izaya and Maka are going to try and partner together.” Soul said making Yuki flinch and she looked down. “Maka said that we didn’t connect anymore and indirectly blamed it on me. She’s had a crush on Izaya since she’s met him so she has been wanting to partner with him, she wouldn’t tell me that though.” Soul said looking up at the sky but Yuki was just looking at him with wide eyes then she hugged her knees looking down.
“I brought them closer… I’m sorry Soul.” Yuki muttered hugging her knees. Soul looked over at her about to say something but he flinched seeing Yuki was hiding her face against her knees and her whole body was trembling. Soul looked at her then without thinking too much about it, he wrapped his arm around her pulling her closer to him. Yuki’s eyes widened but she kept her face hidden as he did. “S-Soul?” Yuki questioned about to sit up but Soul just pulled her into a hug making Yuki’s eyes widen in shock.
“It’s not your fault, don’t blame yourself.” Soul said hugging her making Yuki flinch her arms out to her sides her eyes just wide. “Are you okay? After you remembered something you just heading out here.” Soul added but Yuki was just wide eyed as Soul hugged her. “Yu-” Soul was cut off and before he could say anything more Yuki wrapped her arms around him tightly hiding her face against his shoulder. Soul’s eyes widened but he rested his head against hers.
“I’m sorry. I am sooo sorry.” Yuki muttered closing her eyes tightly as she hugged him. Soul looked at her confused on what she was sorry about.
“Yuki, why are you sorry?” He asked slowly loosening his grip on the hug but Yuki grabbed him tighter making Soul flinch as she did.
“I didn’t mean to not show up that day. Blackstar said he would tell you to come the next day so I could go anyways but I didn’t think I wouldn’t come back. Soul I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” Yuki said making Soul’s eyes widen as he looked down at her. “I’m sorry I don’t remember everything but I’m trying… I am trying.” Yuki said shaking as she grabbed Soul. Yuki then quickly let go of him breathing hard and she backed up away from him using her legs to push herself back.
“Yuki?” Soul asked but Yuki shook her head and Soul flinched seeing tears were in her eyes. “Yuki? What’s wrong?” Soul asked quietly but Yuki shook her head backing up more.
“I… I hurt you from that. I didn’t show up and that hurt you, it hurt everyone because I just left… I just disappeared. I died.” Yuki said then she slowly reached up to her head grabbing her hair shaking. “I left everyone.” Yuki muttered her eyes wide as she started to shake violently. Soul’s eyes widened and he crawled forward over to her.
