Chapter 27.

All the others were talking about the party since they all showed up. Kid was about to thank them but he looked behind Soul.

“Where is Yuki?” Kid asked and Soul sighed as Izaya looked at him a bit threateningly, but Blackstar glared at Izaya.

“Oh, she said she would meet us here and that she needed to get ready. Something about she didn’t like her hair how she did it.” Soul said putting one of his hands up against his waste.

“S-Shit. Sorry I’m late.” Yuki said running up the stairs and over to the others but she doubled over breathing a bit hard.

“SYMMETRY!” Kid yelled about to tackle hug Yuki but Liz and Patty held him back, Patty laughing.

“Huh? Oh, yeah I guess. Sorry about that by the way.” Yuki said and she stood up straight but Izaya’s and Soul’s mouths both dropped open in shock making Blackstar glare at Izaya. “Huh? What? Does it look back?” Yuki asked her face turning slightly red.

“No, of course it doesn’t Yuki!” Tsubaki said running over to her. “I just might’ve picked something a little dressier because I never get to see you in cute clothes.” Tsubaki said with a smile making Yuki sigh.

“That’s true.” Yuki said rubbing the back of her head. “Sorry bout that, but I’m wearing something now.” Yuki said and Blackstar wrapped an arm around her shoulder.

“And it looks great. You definitely are my sister, us Star’s gotta look great.” Blackstar said with a smile. Yuki looked at him and she only nodded slightly. “Now where’s the food.” Blackstar said his suit falling off his shoulder. Yuki chuckled and she grabbed it pulling it back over his shoulder but flinched as she could hear people talking about her from behind.

“Wow, so she is starclan… I hate her even more now, Blackstar’s okay but she’s horrible.” Yuki flinched as people started to talk.

“Yeah, thinking she’s pretty and better than us. Look at her outfit.” Another girl said but Yuki shakingly shook her head looking down.

“Hey, Knock it off!” Soul snapped turning to the group, seeing Cruel and Reaper were the ones talking. They both snickered leaving their group of friends they were with and walking inside hand in hand. Soul almost followed them in but Yuki was just looking at him in shock.

“You didn’t need to do that Soul. They just want a reaction.” Yuki muttered and Kid nodded then went to invite them to the DWMA’s founding party, telling them all just to celebrate. Kid invited them in but Yuki couldn’t help but look back at the worried look on Kid’s face. Lord Death then started to thank everyone for coming then said he was done making Kid cough and speak as well. Kid was explaining and Blackstar was up on the curtain trying to be noticed but in a seconds flash of white he was done on the ground Yuki holding the back of his tux.

“Awe. No fun sis. I want to be noticed.” Blackstar said getting up but Yuki grabbed his arm holding him back.

“Let Kid talk.” Yuki said “Or he’s gonna get mad at you, and I won’t let you eat anything.” Yuki said making Blackstar gasp dramatically then he stood up and straightened out.

“Yes.” Blackstar said almost as if he was saluting something making Yuki chuckle and she walked back over next to Soul. Lord Death said for everyone to enjoy themselves and the band. People started to dance and Blackstar started to eat like crazy. Yuki waited inline for food then she walked back out seeing Soul standing by himself looking off the balcony.

“You should get some food. Idiot.” Yuki said leaning against the rail like Soul, Soul looked over at her but he only looked away.

“I’m not good with these things, besides it’s awkward to stand and eat.” Soul said drinking his drink. Yuki looked over at him and she chuckled. “What? What’s so funny?” Soul asked but Yuki only held back a laugh.
