Chapter 18.

Yuki ran inside her’s and Soul’s apartment and just pressed her back to the door breathing hard leaning against the door.

“Yuki.” Soul said hitting the door. Yuki opened the door and she pulled him in before shutting the door after him and locking it. “What’s wrong with you?” Soul started to ask but in the dark room Yuki jumped forward hugging him and she grabbed him tightly shaking as she hid her face against his shoulder.

“I’m scared... “ Yuki muttered making Soul look at her but then he slowly wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to him closing his eyes with a sigh.

“He didn’t mean to Yuki.” Soul said but Yuki shook her head while pressing it against his shoulder. “What is it then?” Soul asked but Yuki sighed closing her eyes tightly.

“I started to remember… but… something… something is there.” Yuki mumbled making Soul look at her confused. “Red eyes, staring back at me, a purple figure…” Yuki added shaking but she grabbed Soul tighter. “It’s scary.” Yuki said shaking from fear making Soul slightly shocked but he grabbed her tighter and rests his head on top of hers.

“Calm down Yuki…” Soul mumbled quietly but before he could do anything Yuki went limp in his grip making him look down at her. “Yuki…” He muttered, and he looked at her but he saw she was actually passed out so he picked her up and laid her down on the couch as the door was hit. “Hold on. I’ll let you in. No need to break the door down.” Soul said with a sigh and he turned on the lights then opened the door. Blackstar ran in but Soul sighed. “She passed out.” Soul said but Blackstar looked over at her then ran over to the couch touching where he had punched her, right where the other kid had punched her, and he flinched since the bruise got bigger, way bigger.

“Yuki…” Tsubaki said walking in, followed by Kid, Liz, and Patty next. Soul sighed closing the door after them.

“She said something about starting to remember, but something that scared her stopped her.” Soul said making Kid look at him and turn towards him.

“What did she say? Like what?” Kid asked turning to Soul making Soul flinch at his seriousness. Soul looked away rubbing the back of his head.

“A purple figure, with red eyes.” Soul said but Kid looked at him for a moment then he walked over to Yuki and put his hand over her head just hovering his hand over.

“The Witch might of died, but a part of her is still in Yuki’s mind, keeping her from remembering.” Kid said moving his hand back and he sighed shaking his head slightly. “This whole fight is stupid.” Kid muttered turning away and Soul was about to yell at him for that but then he flinched and realized, Kid was talking about the much bigger fight, between the DWMA and Witches. Kid sighed and he turned away from them all. “We should bring her to my father. He might know what to do.” Kid said and Blackstar reached forward to pick her up but he flinched and pulled back. Soul sighed walking over and he picked Yuki up from on the couch then walked out of the apartment, letting Kid lead. Tsubaki closed the door since she was the last one out, her and Blackstar walking in the back. Soul carried Yuki towards the DWMA following Kid and when they got there Izaya and Maka were sitting in front of the school.

“What happened?” Maka asked getting up and running over to Soul who was carrying Yuki in his arms. “It wasn’t because I hit her hand right?” Maka asked obviously feeling guilty. Soul shook his head but Kid answered for him.

“Something is keeping her from remembering and we brought her to my dad to see if he knew why. I think it might be the witch.” Kid said making Maka nod as Izaya came over and also nodded.

“Well he’s gone right now, he had to go somewhere into town. He ordered us to wait here and tell anyone who came that he wouldn’t be back till later.” Izaya said crossing his arms making Kid groan in annoyance. “What’s wrong with Blackstar?” Izaya asked but he looked down at Yuki in Soul’s arms and his eyes widened seeing the huge bruise on her face, the red mark around her eye already gone. “What happened,” Izaya paused a moment before looking up at them uncrossing his arms. “because that’s a hell of a bruise.” Izaya said in shock.
