Chapter 42.

3rd Person Pov.

Yuki was holding a pole and practice fighting with Sid, who was going easy on her since she couldn't see but Yuki was blocking and dodging everyone of his attacks, her eyes covered by Bandages and partially by her hair.

"She's still a bit traumatized by what happened, but knowing Yuki she would never admit it." Stein said, he was outside of the room they were practicing in, everyone in the group but Crona, Reaper, and Cruel with him since Crona, Reaper, and Cruel were out on a mission.

"So she also can't see?" Maka asked, Yuki had gotten back yesterday and after a day of healing up she had decided she wanted to practice fighting, and while no one wanted to fight her, she asked Sid too, and he agreed. The two of them seemed to have an even closer bond since Yuki remembered everything, which was why Sid had explained to Yuki how sorry he was he didn't save her and how bad he felt about it but Yuki said that he had done the right thing.

"Yeah, she told me that when Stein shined the light in her eyes, everything just went white, then back to black." Soul said as they watched her and Stein fight threw a window. Sid striked towards Yuki and Yuki did a handstand backwards and pushed herself up so she did a hand flip backwards, she landed her feet on the edge of the mat they were on, and as Sid got closer, Yuki dodged to the side barely dodging the knife he was using.

"Should they be using weapons?" Tsubaki asked worriedly but Stein only sighed watching and he pushed up his glasses.

"Yuki wanted him to use and actual knife." Stein said but Yuki turned on her feet and she smacked the pole right into Sid's side sending him flying back and off the mat. Yuki stood where she was for a moment before dropping the pipe and she ran over to Sid. "She's fine, but with her eyesight, it's almost as if she is always blindfolded. Her eyes act as if she can see, but she can't." Stein said as Yuki grabbed Sid's hand and pulled him to his feet, Sid dropped the knife and he grabbed his side.

"That's the kind of man I was, I didn't hold back much, but if you run into someone strong then they won't hold back, and there won't be a mat that you have to stand on." Sid said making Yuki who just faced ahead walk back over to the mat, a bit unsure of where she was walking at first but then she got down and touched around, grabbing the pole she then held it up and spun it in her hands but faced towards Sid.

"but when I'm out there fighting, I can feel the souls of others, so whether I fight someone with a kishin soul, or a witch's soul, I can feel it." Yuki said then she jumped back pole vaulting a bit and she landed on top of a pile of mats. "If they use a weapon even better, because then I can feel that weapon. You might go easy on me but I fought tons of people to get back." Yuki said holding the pole from the pile of mats she was on. Sid walked closer to her to look up at her but Yuki jumped down doing a tuck and roll and when she was out of the role she had the pole right above Sid's head, stopping inches from hitting him. "I have friends to help me too." Yuki said moving the pole back. "and my weapon partner. You guys might not think I can do it, but I can still fight. I don't know how long this will last, so I'm not just going to lay down and wait around for my eyes to heal." Yuki said then walked back over to her spot on the mat getting into a fighting stance sliding her feet apart, she was wearing boots without high heels, and she was wearing jeans and a tank top. Sid looked at her in his normal attire then he went back to his spot.

"Fine! Cause that's the man I was I'll show you it won't be that easy." Sid said grabbing throwing knifes and the others all flinched because they had been watching. "Throwing knifes coming your way, since your partner isn't here to tell you-" Sid started throwing right towards her right arm but as it got close Yuki moved in a quick instant blocking it with the pipe.

"You have to throw them faster if you want me to be hit. I can't see so use it to your advantage, I feel Sid, meaning I can feel the wind currents and the slicing of the wind from the blade as it cuts through the air. If you are going to keep going easy on me, I'll have to find someone else to fight who won't hold back." Yuki said making Sid look at her then he grabbed another knife and threw it even faster, Yuki went to dodge but it slightly cut her right arm right under her starclan mark.
