Chapter 28.

Yuki looked down as the others were about to walk. “Guys, I should’ve said something. I felt something, the first day we met her…. the name Medusa rang a bell, but I didn’t say anything because I wanted to believe that she was normal.” Yuki muttered making everyone look back at her and Stein sighed looking at the ground. “I could feel something, and maybe it was the stupid witch blood I have inside me that reacted to it, but, I didn’t say anything and now this has happened.” Yuki said looking down and Stein only shook his head looking at the ground.

“Wait, How would you know, she had Soul protect-” Maka started but Stein stepped forward now looking at the group.

“I was hoping this wouldn’t come up, Yuki’s Soul Perception isn’t normal, that’s quite obvious with the fact that she can get information about people by just looking at their souls. It’s quite obvious she isn’t normal and that might just be because of the witch striking her when she was young, then again she might’ve been able to see souls before then like she can now. We don’t know since she doesn’t remember.” Stein said walking down the hallway once more making the others follow. “Do you know any students who have Soul Perception and can use Soul Menace other than Yuki? I didn’t think so, just another action that proves that she’s different.” Stein said making Yuki freeze up for a second. “Everyone turn into your weapon forms from here on out.” Stein said making Soul, Izaya, Tsubaki, Cruel, Liz, and Patty all nod and they all turned into weapons. Kid jumped on his skateboard and they all followed Stein down some steps farther into the underground of the DWMA. Maka asked Kid about Asura since his father had told him about Asura the day before. Yuki wasn’t half paying attention but she was mostly focusing on running and nothing else. Wait, ripped off his skin, made a bag from his scalp, and sealed him away inside it? Yuki knew it was a bad story, and she knew slightly about the story but not that part of it. Stein looked back at Yuki and sighed, he didn’t want to tell the others but he was trying to keep Yuki away from Asura, for reasons Lord Death had explained to him before. While Yuki could feel the presence of Asura’s soul it would be nothing like if she even got close to the room he was in. Reaper looked at Yuki as they ran.

“So, truce for now?” Reaper asked outstretching his hand towards Yuki as the two of them ran. Yuki looked at his hand then she nodded shaking it but then once again focusing on running.

“You too, Soul. We’re all on a truce for now.” Cruel said from her axe form, Soul nodded in the reflection of his blade making Cruel also nod.

“Right.” Soul added but as they ran, Blackstar asked if Maka felt any soul’s up ahead but Yuki was staring up ahead still.

“It seems they have their protect up for now.” Maka said as they ran but Yuki closed her eyes as she looked up ahead.

“Medusa, Eruka, and Free. I can feel their souls even under protection. I can’t tell exactly where they are, it all seems like a blur.” Yuki muttered tightly closing her eyes but then all of them slid to a stop, all of them feeling it but Reaper and Blackstar who were both looking around confused. Then Spirit appeared ahead making Blackstar laugh at Maka but Maka punched him in the face, well at least Stein has a weapon now. Stein went on to say that they don’t know what’s going to happen up ahead.

“Weapons, please do not return to your human forms. There’s a chance you could lose your lives in one hit.” Stein said making Yuki flinch and her eyes widened, her grip on Soul Tightened making Soul look up at her. Each weapon agreed up Soul who was quiet. Blackstar then asked if they heard something and Maka was confused but Yuki looked at Blackstar and closed her eyes. “Yeah.” Yuki said opening her eyes once more and the others said it sounded like footsteps. Everyone got ready to fight as Medusa walked forward releasing her Soul Protect and showing her huge Soul.
