David seemed the be the only one feeling awkward for the rest of the night as he tried on the silk v-neck shirt and denim jeans. He briefly wondered how Mr. Black already had a set of cloths fit for him laying around. He ultimately shrugged it off when the man returned, his calm demeanor back in place, and offered dinner.

After not having eaten in two days, David devoured his salad in a hurry, then tore into the salmon without even tasting it. He downed nearly three glasses of wine before Mr. Black stopped refilling him and he was stuck with water. That was fine though, his belly was finally full and he felt at ease once again. Clearly the demon didn't feel like bringing up the shower incident and neither did he.

"It's getting late." Mr. Black noted as he checked the LED clock on his wall. "I should take you home."

David slowly chewed his food while he contemplated whether he should inform him of his current living situation. If he knew David no longer had a home, would he make him stay here at his penthouse? At the back of his mind, he worried that this demon was trying to turn him into some sort of pet, what with all the pampering and such, but at the same time he didn't want to risk getting robbed again. The new clothes he was wearing would most likely draw some scoundrels attention.

Latching on to what little pride he had left, he nodded in agreement. "You mind just getting me a taxi though? Hitching a ride in a Limo in that end of town tends to paint a target on peoples backs."

"Did you have trouble after I dropped you off last time?" Mr. Black asked as he replaced his blazer.

Aside from it causing my landlord to think I was loaded and kicking me out? Nooooooo. He thought sarcastically. "A little. I started getting weird looks."

The demon relented then as he pulled his own cell out and began dialing. "Fine, I'll have a taxi drop you off. Oh and I added my number to your cell. I'll be calling you in the morning to take you to the interview."

"Great." He stared out towards the skyline. "By the way, you never did tell me what kind of interview it was?"

Mr. Black smiled, holding his phone to his ear. At that point the taxi service answered so he held a finger up as he requested a ride. "About fifteen minutes and they'll be here. As for the interview, don't worry. It won't be anything hard."

"Is it a burger joint?" David guessed. He had never finished high school nor gotten a GED, so there weren't many jobs he was qualified for outside of fast food. "Or some sort of grocery store? Because I'm warning you, I've already been fired from most." Then his head shot up as he realized something very important. This was an extremely rich, High Ranked demon. The guy most likely didn't deal with small fast food chains. "Wait, is it a mail job? Or something to do with stocking?" Those jobs were very well paid and didn't involve working with other people too much, so they'd be perfect. Unfortunately he never got called back whenever he applied before.

The man laughed. "You'll see. Just trust me, it's not something you'll struggle with."

David pouted. "I think I should know what kind of job I'm applying for before actually being interviewed."

"You need a job either way, don't you?"

"True, but still." He half argued.

He sat quietly as Mr. Black cleared off the table. Shortly after, David's taxi arrived and he gave the driver the address to his old complex. He may not technically live there anymore, but he could sleep on a bench or something till morning and maybe try not to ruin his nice new cloths.

As expected, he had trouble getting a proper nights sleep. The bench was hard, the wind was cold, and he constantly heard things walking around in the dark, causing him to bolt upwards and scan the area for muggers. By the time the sun started to come up over the horizon, he was wide awake from paranoia.
