Warning! Smut! <3

The rest of his stay on the farm went by faster with his new cooking lessons taking place. At first, David had to wait until dinner before Katherine even had time to show him anything, but soon his injuries were finally healed enough for the two to let him help out around the barn.

They started him with lighter chores, such as brushing the horses or opening and closing the gate whenever Katherine took them out for a run. He also chose to start cleaning around the house so that Katherine didn't have to do it before his lessons. He could tell she was grateful by the way she would slap Frank and ask why he wasn't as considerate.

David eventually took Katherine up on her offer for riding lessons, but the undulating motions had him nauseous within a few minutes and he immediately changed his mind. Frank got a kick out of his reaction and started teasing him over it.

Peter called a few more times to give updates on how things were going. Knowing how many sharks he owed money to, David felt like he had tossed the demon into the criminal underground and quite often wondered if the man would really be finished finding them all within two weeks.

Needless to say he had nothing to worry about. The end of the second week rolled around and they received a confirmation call that Peter was done and on his way to pick David up. That morning, Katherine and David both prepared a Swiss roll for his arrival. They waited inside, watching the news in case anything exciting came on. When they heard the car roll up, David sprung to his feet and rushed to the porch.

He watched as the side door opened and out stepped a very tired looking Mr. Black. From his appearance, David guessed that the man hadn't slept a wink the entire trip here.

Mr. Black perked up and greeted him with a warm smile. "David!"

It took all his self restraint not to hop off the porch and tackle the man. Having both Katherine and Frank emerge behind him also helped keep him in check.

"Peter! You look awful." Frank joked as his son approached.

"Didn't get much sleep." Mr. Black explained with his eyes focused on David. Once he was close enough, he began scanning the little human's old injuries and taking note of the missing bruises. "You healed nicely."

"Thanks." David found himself blushing at the proximity of the man. He was very close to his face as he checked where his head wound was. His hair had grown out just a bit and the stitches had fallen out a while ago.

Once Mr. Black realized how close his face was to David's, he immediately straightened and cleared his throat. "Well, we should get going."

"Oh no you don't!" Katherine wagged a finger in Peter's face. "David worked hard to make you a Swiss roll, the least you can do is try it before leaving."

Mr. Black raised an eyebrow at David, as though to say he was surprised to hear that the human had taken up his suggestion on letting the woman give him cooking lessons. "Well if David made it, I guess I'm obliged to give it a try."

The demon had the driver wait while he stepped inside for all of two minutes to try a slice. He ate fast due to their flight leaving soon, which disappointed his parents since they had hoped Peter would be staying a little longer. He rushed out of the door with a promise to visit again soon and grabbed David's luggage on his way to the car.

David waved goodbye to the Blacks as they pulled out. He was finally going home, and more importantly, Peter was here with him.

He glanced over at the demon in the other passenger seat, wondering if the man was just as tense as he was. As hard as he had tried not to think about the demon, images of Mr. Black would slink into his mind late at night when he had nothing else to distract him. Now that he had the real thing just inches away, he wanted to touch him from head to toe and make sure it wasn't a dream.
