Warning! Smut chapter!

David awoke some time in the night. Glancing at the digital clock beside the bed, he read 3:29 A.M. The soreness that had plagued him the day before was all but gone thanks to the doctors treatment, but he knew better than to push it. After all, it wouldn't be too hard to tear open his stitches if he rolled over on them.
When he tried to move his arm he was surprised to find resistance. David waited for his eyes to adjust to the darkness before he realized that Mr. Black was laying in bed with him. The demon was above the covers and wearing sky blue pajamas, with David's hand grasped tightly in his own. He looked utterly exhausted, even more so than David was earlier.
Not wanting to disturb him, the little human remained still. Soon after, the mess of emotions he had been fighting with earlier caught up with him. He let out a frustrated sigh, then gasped when he felt the demon beside him move.
"David?" Mr. Black called quietly.
"Yeah?"
"How are you feeling?" The demon asked, releasing David's hand and propping himself up on an elbow. "Do you need more painkillers?"
"Nope." David replied honestly. He had a very high tolerance for pain, so this much he could deal with.
Mr. Black stared down at him, then brushed a lock of David's unkempt hair out of his face. "I'll help you clean your hair in the morning. It's going to be difficult for you to do alone with those stitches."
The doctors did their best to clean him up at the hospital, but it wasn't like he had a chance to take a full shower. Luckily, between the hospital cleanup and changing his clothes, he wasn't unclean. As for the stitches themselves, the doctor had to shave away some of his hair in order to properly sew the wound back up. The good news was that his unruly hair could easily be combed over the bald spot until it grew back.
He caught the demon staring at him again, looking somewhat mesmerized. David wasn't sure why he was doing that, so he stared back and smiled. "Thanks."
Peter grinned slightly as his eyes began to glow. It was a dim yellow, not quite bright but still evident. Thanks to his talk with Ricky, David now understood what that meant.
Red meant angry. Yellow meant possessive. Ricky had even warned him to pay attention to a demons eyes, because yellow was a sign that the demon in front of him was most likely in heat.
Mr. Black reached towards David once more, gently caressing his cheek as his eyes continued to brighten. David tried not to think about what he wanted to have happen next because his own heart had not settled on an emotion just yet, and it looked like Mr. Black was likewise having an internal struggle of his own as his face grew serious.
The longer they stayed like that, the stronger the tension between them got. Eventually, it was Mr. Black that broke the silence, his gaze turning needy.
"David..." His voice was suddenly pleading as he cupped David's chin. "I'm sorry, I can't...." He paused, unable to restrain himself anymore as he gave in and finally kissed David.
This time their lips connected, and David felt a few pinpricks of pain as he was reminded of the two cuts on his bottom lip. He ignored them though and welcomed the man. Reaching up, he cupped the back of Mr. Blacks head, holding him in place.
Carefully they embraced each other so as not to bother any of David's injuries. As they did so, the demon crawled more and more on top of David until he was straddling the little human beneath him. When he finally pulled away, his eyes were practically beacons.
