Sitting on my bed I had my laptop resting on my lap as I blankly stared at it trying to come up with anything to write.

I had to write an essay on the development of childcare, that being my major, since the 1960s. I still had another three weeks to write it, but I was trying to get a head start so I could enjoy other college events before we all leave for winter break.

After another five minutes of staring hopelessly at my laptop screen I heard the sound of my room door open and close, meaning my roommate and best friend, Heidi, was home.

"How was class?" I asked as a massive sigh left Heidi's lips.

"It sucked, Mr Peachy's voice is just so exhausting!" Heidi groaned as she took her jacket off, chucking it onto the back of the desk chair.

"That or you were out until two in the morning?" I teased, raising my eyebrows at her as I gave up and shut my laptop.

"What? I fell asleep at Charlie's" Heidi smirked before plunging down onto her bed.

"What even is the deal with Charlie? I asked, moving a cushion before my back as I leant against the wall.

"Just some fun I guess" Heidi shrugged, having taken full advantage of college to hookup with as many guys as she can.

"Speaking of fun, I told Charlie we would go to a party tonight as his place"

Immediately I let out a loud groan as I tipped my head back, my arms folding across my chest.

"We went to a frat party last week, do we seriously want a repeat of that?" I sighed, raising my eyebrows to remind Heidi of how messy the last one was.

"It was fun and you can't even deny it. Now be ready for 8:30, I'm getting in the shower" Heidi insisted before getting up and going into the bathroom.

Wrapping my cropped denim jacket around me I held it close to my body to try and keep me warm as Heidi and I walked up the stairs to the frat house.

All I had on to keep me warm was this jacket and my white body con dress, which only covered down to my mid thigh. This outfit wasn't exactly the best thing to be wearing in November but I knew that after a few drinks of alcohol I would warm up straight away.

Eventually reaching the frat house doors, Heidi and I walked straight in to be smothered with loud music and the heat of everyone's bodies.

Walking closely behind Heidi so I didn't lose her she led us straight into the kitchen where people were already consuming themselves in alcohol and making out like it was a show.

"What do you want to drink?" Heidi asked as she grabbed each of us a red cup.

"Whatever you're having" I shrugged as Heidi then filled both our cups with vodka and lemonade.

Bringing the cup to my lips I was in the midst of taking a sip as I heard someone call Heidi's name.

Leaning my back against the counter I followed Heidi's eyes over to the guy who had called her name, that being the famous Charlie she had already explicitly told me everything about.

"Hey Charlie" Heidi smiled as he came over to the two of us.

"I'm so glad you could come" Charlie whispered lowly before coming up to the side of Heidi and kissing her neck, making me internally cringe.
