"Are you sure you don't mind me going out on date with Liam?" I asked Heidi as I put my ear rings in, looking at myself in the mirror.

"Not at all, I mean he was just a fling" Heidi reassured me for like the fifth time today.

Letting out a soft sigh I was kind of disappointed with her answer. I mean I wasn't looking forward to this date at all and to be honest all I could think about was Shawn's bluntness with me before I left his dorm. Was he bothered about Liam taking me out? I just wished he had said something. I just thought that Shawn and I were getting along so well. I just guess that perhaps, somewhere deep inside of me, I was hopeful that it could lead to something.

"Why? Do you not want to go out with Liam?" Heidi then asked as I glanced over at her to see her already snuggled up under her duvet watching netflix on her laptop.

"Not really" I sighed before pulling up the top of my olive green dress so not too much of my chest was showing.

"Then why didn't you say no? Heidi questioned, pausing her show as she sat up to face me.

"I don't know, I just felt like I couldn't. Plus Shawn told me I should" I shrugged, disappointment evident in my voice as I began flattening down the tight material of my dress.

"What did you want Shawn to say?" Heidi asked, resulting in a sigh leaving my lips as I walked over to my closet to get out a cropped denim jacket.

"I don't know, I guess I was just hoping he'd step in" I groaned, a grown on my lips as I began slipping on my denim jacket.

"Maybe you should tell Shawn you're not interested in Liam and instead ask him out on a date" Heidi explained as pulled my eyebrows together, a little unsure at the idea.

"He probably doesn't want to see me again now anyway. I mean I said yes to going out with his bestfriend when I had come over to see him" I exhaled, frustrated how ridiculous this whole situation was.

Before Heidi and I could carry on our conversation we were interrupted by a subtle knock at our door. Looking over at Heidi she mouthed me 'good luck', causing a soft laugh to leave my lips.

Letting out a last sigh I then grabbed my shoulder bag and phone off my bed before going over to the door. Opening the door I was greeted by Liam as be stood there with his hands resting in his front pockets. I can't lie, he sure does scrub up well when he's not in his basketball sweats.

"Ready?" Liam smiled as I hooked my bag over my shoulder.

"Sure" I returned a small smile before stepping into the hallway with him and closing the door behind me.

"You look really nice by the way" Liam complimented as the two of us began walking towards the elevator.

"Thanks" I simply smiled in response.

"Oh do I not get a 'you look nice too'?" Liam joked as I glanced up at him to see a smirk playing along his lips.

"You look nice too" I repeated with a soft laugh as Liam chuckled down at me.

"I hope you like Mexican, I found this little place we can go to in town" Liam then explained as we walked into the elevator, him pressing the button for the ground floor.
