With a hot cup of coffee in my hand I unlocked the door to my dorm before going in and closing it behind me.
Taking my bag off my shoulder I then walked over to my bed before putting it down.
"Morning!" I then heard someone exclaim, making my soul almost jump out of my body.
Turning around I immediately let out a loud sigh as Liam sat there on top Heidi's bed, scrolling through his phone
"What the hell are you doing here?" I frowned, letting out a deep breath as I held my hand on my chest to feel my fast heartbeat.
"Heidi gave me her key and said she'd meet me here after she finishes at the gym" Liam explained, laughing at my reaction.
"You guys are moving a bit quick don't you think?" I rose my eyebrows at him, a little weirded out at how he was already letting himself in to our dorm room.
"Not at all, plus we've both agreed nothing serious is going on between us" Liam replied as he slipped his phone into his front pocket.
"Exactly why she shouldn't be letting temporary hookups into our room" I sighed before taking a sip of my coffee and kicking my shoes off my feet.
"I'm not some serial killer Eloise, I mean just look at me" Liam gave me a toothy grin, raising his eyebrows at me.
Letting out a small laugh I lightly shook my head before placing my drink on the top of my bedside draw.
"What are your plans for the rest of the day anyway?" Liam then asked as I hopped up onto my bed, pulling my legs underneath me as I comfortably sat there.
"I don't know, I might call Shawn later to see if he wants to do something" I shrugged before leaning down to my bedside draw and picking up my coffee.
"You and Shawn, eh?" Liam asked, frowning his eyebrows a little.
"You two hooking up then?"
"No, hooking up is not my style" I lightly laughed, a small smile pulling at Liam's lips.
"That's good then" Liam smiled, sending me a wink before jumping down from the bed.
Pulling my eyebrows together at what he meant I watched as Liam walked his way into the bathroom before closing the door behind him.
Did he just try to make a pass at me?
Pulling me out of my confusion i then heard the door open and close to reveal Heidi.
"Hey" she greeted, giving me a smile as she took out her earphones.
"Hey, also your boyfriend's in the bathroom by the way" I joked, raising my eyebrows at her in disapproval of how she had given him her key.
"He's not my boyfriend" Heidi shook her head as she tucked her gym bag under neath her bed.
"Then why are you letting random guys into our dorn?" I asked, moving my legs so they were crossed.
"It's Liam, he's hardly going to do anything" Heidi laughed, making me roll my eyes at how ridiculous she was being me.
"You hardly know him. He's just another one of your distractions" I groaned, resulting in a sigh from Heidi.
"You need to loosen up a little Eloise, it's not a big deal" Heidi shrugged, resulting in another eye roll from me as I jumped up from my bed.
"I don't get how you can trust a guy you've barely known five minutes" I sighed, feeling myself become more irritated at her lact of consideration.
"God you sound so uptight" Heidi mocked, making me tense my jaw and bite my tongue as I tried to stop myself from boiling over at her ignorance.
Just letting out a loud scoff I then grabbed my bag off my bed before swinging it over my shoulder and walking out of the room, slamming the door behind me.
Once out of apartment building I pulled my phone out of my coat pocket before unlocking it and going to my contacts.
Scrolling down my contacts I stopped once I found 'Squash boy'. Hovering my finger over his number I swallowed the nerves down before pressing the call button.
Lifting the phone up to my ear I anxiously waited as it began to ring. Taking my fingers up to my mouth I nervously bit down onto one of my nails, waiting in anticipation for Shawn to pick up.
Eventually after a few rings Shawn picked up before his angelic voice came echoing through the phone.
"Hello?" Shawn greeted I began to walk along the path in the direction of god knows where.
"Hey Shawn, it's Eloise" I replied as I used my other hand to pull my coat tightly around me for warmth.
"Oh hey Elle! I'm so glad you finally called" Shawn laughed, resulting a undeniable smile curling onto my lips.
"I didn't think it would be fair to leave you waiting another day" I teased, a contagious chuckle coming through the phone.
"Yeah I wouldn't have coped much longer" Shawn joked as I tried to suppress my growing smile.
"Anyway, the reason I was calling you was to see if you wanted to do something" I asked, nerves filling me up inside in fear of him rejecting me.
"Sure! When?" Shawn replied, as I began kicking a stone along with my feet.
"Now?" I hesitantly asked, raising my eyebrows in anticipation.
"Someone's eager" Shawn chuckled, as I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Or just bored" I joked, resulting in another laugh leaving Shawn's lips.
"Okay, well right now I'm finishing a basketball drill but if you give me about another thirty minutes then I can meet you somewhere" Shawn explained as I nodded in response before realising that he couldn't actually see me.
"Yeah sure, just text me when you're finished and-" I replied before Shawn interrupted me.
"Actually why don't you come meet me at the gymnasium and maybe we can have a one on one game" Shawn enthusiastically began as I let out a soft laugh.
"I know nothing about playing basketball" I replied as Shawn chuckled in amusement.
"I can teach you" Shawn grinned making me let out a defeated sigh, as a wide smile formed on my face.
"Fine, I'll be there in ten" I laughed before eventually ending the call and finding my way to the basketball arena where Shawn was.

This chapter is shorter than the others but it makes sense to put Shawn and Elle's little 'date' in it's own chapter!
