Today was a Wednesday, meaning I was half way closer to the weekend. Having just finished my last class of the day I was in a rush to get back to my dorm so I could quickly get ready for my plans tonight.
Tonight me and the girls were going out for dinner to celebrate one of our friends, Emily's, birthday.
After practically running my way through campus I finally got back to my dorm room, where Heidi was already busy getting ready herself.
"Hey, how was class?" Heidi greeted, curling her hair as I threw my folder and bag onto my bed.
"It was really long" I sighed as I tied my hair up outside of my face before going into the bathroom.
"Oh, a package came for you today!" Heidi then called out to me as I began applying toothpaste onto my toothbrush.
"I didn't order anything" I frowned my eyebrows before putting the toothbrush in my mouth as I walked back into our room.
"I think it's actually a gift, it's all nicely wrapped. It's on my nightstand" Heidi explained as she nodded towards the package
Walking over to her bedside table I continued to brush my teeth with one hand as I picked up the parcel with the other.
Knitting my eyebrows together in confusion the package was wrapped in pink wrapping paper and had a silver bow tied around it, an address label stuck on the top.
"Is there a tag?" Heidi asked, glancing over her shoulder at me as she turned off her curlers.
"No, there's not even a letter" I replied, confusion written across my face as I walked back into the bathroom.
Placing the gift on the side I then spat into the sink before rinsing my mouth out.
Picking the gift back up I then walked back into the dorm before taking a seat at our dressing table, Heidi now having got up to find something to wear.
"Are you going to open it?" Heidi asked as I placed the gift down infront of me.
"Yeah, I'm just confused on who would have sent me something" I replied before taking the ribbon off and then tearing the wrapping paper open.
After removing all the wrapping paper I turned over the gift, seeing that it was upside down, before looking down at it to see a white and black box.
"What is it?" Heidi asked as she came over my shoulder to look.
"I don't know" I lightly laughed before lifting the lid off the box.
As I did I immediately felt my eyes widen in shock and a perplexed frown fall onto my lips.
"You've got to be kidding me" Heidi took the words right from my mouth.
Reaching into the box I pulled out what was a framed photo of me and my ex-boyfriend from high school. It was a photo of the two us at the beach, our last summer before college. Our last summer before we broke up.
