Holding Alfie on my waist he was wrapped up in his big winter coat as he held his small little hand up in the air trying to grab at the falling snow. Smiling down at his rosy cheeks I pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead before staring out onto the field of snow as I watched my brother throw a snowball Katy, the white powder landing all over her blonde curls.

As hysterical laughter poured from Elliott's lips I held Alfie tightly against me for warmth, admiring the love between my brother and his fiancée as if they were still teenagers in love. Hearing Katy gasp she then launched herself at Elliott before the two of them fell down onto the ground, surrounding themselves in a pit of laughter.

With baby Alfie in my arms and watching my brother smiling so widely as he cradled Katy to his chest, I couldn't help but feel a small smile begin to tug on my lips as my mind began to think about the future and how if it's possible for my brother to have found a love as real as this, considering everything we've been through, then maybe, just maybe, I will find this too, or maybe I might already have.

With Shawn.

"Ready to head back home?" Elliott asked, bringing me out of my thoughts as him and Katy were now both stood up, brushing the snow off their knees.

"Yes, but first I promised this little guy that I'd go buy him a chocolate chip cookie" I grinned down at Alfie, lightly shaking him up and down on my hip as an adorable giggle left his small pink lips.

"Is auntie Eloise spoiling you again?" Elliott teased as he bent down a little and playfully stuck his tongue out at Alfie.

"Cookie!" Alfie gurgled, making the rest of us laugh as we melted into how adorable his little self was.

[5:00pm]

Holding a holder of three drinks in my hands I began to make my way out of the shop to join the others at the car. Considering it was way too cold for Alfie, I had told the others to just stay in the car while I go into the cafe to get the drinks and, of course, Alfie's cookie.

Making my way towards the door, just as I was about to push it open I felt someone tap me on the shoulder from behind. Frowning my eyebrows I glanced over my shoulder before smiling as I saw Joe standing there with his same old dorky smile spread across his lips.

Initially being shocked and widening my eyes I then felt my lips begin to curl up into a smile as I took in the familiar face before me.

"Oh my god, hi" my words almost came out breathlessly.

"Hey, it's so good to see you again" Joe grinned before reaching his arms around me and engulfing me in a hug.

Smiling against his shoulder we then released each other from the hug before standing across from another, his familiar homely grin beaming onto me.

"So how have you been? You look like you're doing great" Joe smiled, making me laugh softly as I shyly looked down to my feet and then back up at him.

"Yeah I'm doing really well thankyou, how about you? I thought you would of stayed in Miami for Christmas" I replied as Joe lightly shrugged, a small sigh surpassing his lips.
