"That was the most boring hour of my life" Heidi groaned as the three of us began standing up from the bench to leave, the game now having finished with Shawn's team winning by a long shot.

"I quite enjoyed it" Joe lightly chuckled as the two of us followed Heidi along the bench and towards the stairs.

"I am never letting you drag me to one of these again. You can come watch Shawn on your own" Heidi sighed, making me roll my eyes, as we eventually began walking down the stairs.

"Shawn? Is that the guy that kissed you during half time?" Joe asked from behind me, instantly making me become tense as I hesitated on what to say.

"Yeah" I mumbled, glancing back at Joe, as we reached the main floor and began walking towards the exit, following behind the rest of the crowd.

"You don't need to look so worried Eloise, it's okay" Joe softly laughed before sending me a warm and reassuring smile as we now walked side by side, Heidi somewhere infront of us.

"I should have told you before we came" I sighed, feeling beyond awkward at having to tell my ex-boyfriend about the boy I was currently seeing.

"Honestly, Eloise, it's okay. I've met someone else too" Joe smiled, resulting in me sighing in relief, before a small grin found it's way onto my lips.

"That's so great Joe, I'm so happy for you" I beamed, genuinely excited for him.

Joe and I never ended our relationship on bad terms, but rather it was a healthy and mutual breakup. We still had so much love for each other and all we wanted was for the other to be happy.

"Thanks, I'm  so happy for you too" Joe grinned, wrapping his arm over my shoulder before lightly shaking me.

"What's this guy like anyway? Is he nice to you?"

"Yeah, he's great. He's so sweet and funny and, I don't know, he just gets me. I know it sounds cliche but I just know that he's for me" I smiled, a soft laugh leaving my lips, as Joe's grin beamed down at me.

"I completely get what you mean. It's like you finally understand what everyone has been talking about" Joe explained, making me nod in agreement, as our warm smiles reflected back at one another.

"It's only early days but-" I began before Joe perfectly finished my sentence as if he was feeling and experiencing everything I was.

"You just feel like it could be the real thing" Joe smiled, gently squeezing my shoulder, as we had now walked out of the stadium and into the cold winter air.

"Yeah" I softly chuckled, feeling my cheeks burn even at the thought of admitting that to myself.

"When you know you know" Joe sighed, a grin still planted on his lips, as we eventually came to a stop, Heidi now turning around to face us.

"Isn't your uber suppose to picking you up soon?" Heidi asked a lityle sharply as Joe chuckled in response, use to Heidi's blunt and quick witt.

"Yeah, it's just around the corner somewhere" Joe chuckled, shrugging away Heidi's comment, as he let his arm fall from around my shoulders.

"You better get going then, Eloise and I have got plans" Heidi sighed, folding her arms across her chest, as Joe playfully rolled his eyes.

"Nice seeing you too Heidi" Joe laughed before turning his attention onto me.

"I better go before Heidi drags me into that uber" Joe whispered, a laugh leaving my lips, as he smirked down at me.

"It was great seeing you tonight, we definitely need to make a day of it some time"
