Finally my shit ass day is over. I don't bother to take any of my homework with me. I figure the hell with homework tonight. I hurry to my car only to find it won't start. Son of a bitch I yell inside my head. This is definitely the worse day of my life. I hop out and pop the hood. Shit. I have no idea what I am looking for. My best guess is the battery is dead. I can't fix that on my own.

I'm staring under the hood when I hear someone behind me. "What's wrong," the voice says. It's a guy's voice. It's soft but deep at the same time. "I need a jump," I say turning to find myself looking up into the bluest eyes I have ever seen. Those eyes are attached to the most gorgeous guy I have ever seen. He stands there smiling at me. He has almost perfect teeth and sexy dimples. His front tooth is slightly chipped, but it looks sexy on him. His black hair is thick and falls into his eyes. Holy shit this kid is gorgeous. I gulp.

Realizing what I had said before turning around I say "Well go ahead and let the stupid guy comments fly." "Huh," he says confused. "You know. I'd be more than happy to jump you baby. Stupid shit like that," I say extremely irritated. He runs his hands through his hair and laughs. "I got to be somewhere. Can you give me a jump or not," I glare at him. He steps back and checks me out. "Wow you really are a bad ass," he says. His smile returning. "I've heard all about you new girl. Trashing the principal's house at your old school. Fighting with Nat your first day here," he says impressed.

"I know my rap sheet dude. I need a jump. Can you help or not," I ask annoyed. He looks around at the kids nearby. "Hey Donnie," he yells to some tall thin kid walking our way. The kid hurries over. "Can you jump bad ass here," he asks. I see Donnie smirked and know what's coming next. "Hell yeah I can jump her bad ass," he says puffing up his chest. I roll my eyes. "Tick tock guys," I say looking at my watch. "Let me get my truck. You got cables," he asks. I tell him yes.

I dig out my cables and wait for Donnie to pull up next to me. He pops his hood and I hook the cable to my car battery. Once his hood is up he connects them to his. I get in and start the car. It starts right up. I get out. Donnie and blue eyes already have the cables off. Blue eyes hands them to me and I throw them back in my trunk. "I gotta get," I say closing my hood. "Thanks Donnie," I say turning to get into my car. "See you blue eyes," I tell dimples and pull out.

Alright so I am definitely not the Carly Harris of West Riverside. My first day at East Riverside and I am officially a thug like everyone else in that school. I stop by the Auto Space and pick up a new battery. I leave my bad ass persona in the car and pull out the helpless female Carly as I walk to the counter. The guy working the counter is about fifty I figure. I walk up the counter and put on my best stupid female act. I tell him about my battery and how I had to ask some strange scary kid to give me a jump. By the time I'm finished with him I have a new installed battery thanks to my good friend Charlie.

With my new battery installed, I decide not to go home. Instead I drive around for a while. When I finally do go home, I realize I am really tired. I pull into my driveway and force myself not to look over at Mike's house. I can't help myself though. I turn and look for a quick second before I turn and head inside. I find Donna in the kitchen cleaning. "You're late. There's a plate in the fridge for you," she says. I pull it out and put it in the microwave. I realize I'm starving since I had no lunch. Donna watches while I pig out.

"What," I finally ask. "How was it," she asks. "It was fine," I lie. I'm not about to tell her some chick started a fight with me. I ended up in yet another principal's office. "I had to buy a new battery on the emergency card," I tell her. "What happen to your lip," she asks. I reach up and feel my swollen lip. Forgot about that. "I hurt it trying to get the car hood open so someone could give me a jump," I lie. The new Carly is awesome I think sarcastically. When I finish eating, I tell her I'm tired and head up to bed.

I tear through my closet looking for something to wear tomorrow. I find some nice looking torn and worn jeans that are really pretty new. Then I find white tank. I can wear a hoodie over it. I find a navy hoodie and put it with my tank. I have got to go shopping. Everything in my closet is too girly and yuppie like. I decide on the same boots. Maybe I should get a tattoo I think. I roll my eyes at myself and laugh. I'm taking the hard ass persona to seriously. Oh wait no it was bad ass. I smile as I think of blue eyes. He was pretty hot.

Later I slip on my pajamas and pull my hair up into a bun. With my bedroom light off I stand near the window looking over at Mike's house. His light is still on in his room. I stand there for several minutes waiting to see if he will look out his window. We would always do that at night. Watch for each other in the window. I don't know what I would do if he did look out at me. I have no idea why I'm even standing here looking. His light goes out. I fall into bed and instantly fall asleep.
