When I wake up in the morning, I'm surprised to see both Ava and Nat are awake. Nat is making coffee. Ava seems to be nursing a major hangover. "Adam will get over it," I hear Nat saying. "He was really pissed. He asked me not to go to anymore river parties after Nikki disappeared. I feel bad that I've been to a few. I figured what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him," Ava says grabbing a coffee mug. They both watch the coffee pot do it's magic. "He can't expect you to stop doing what you want because of what happened to Nikki. It's not fair to you. I mean we have no idea what happened to Nikki or where it happened," Nat says.

I join the two of them and they both stop talking. "Sorry I got you in trouble," I say feeling really bad. "It's cool. I shouldn't have left you there alone like that," Ava says. "It was my bad." We're all quiet for a minute. The coffee is ready and we each pour a cup. "So Jeana, huh," I say grinning at Ava. She swats my arm. "So," she says grinning back at me. "Didn't see that one coming," I say adding some sugar to my coffee. "I like to keep my options open," she laughs. I look at her. "So who's better at kissing. Guys or Girls." She looks at me. A grin spreads across her face. "Let me know when you have your first kiss with a boy and then I'll let you decide," she winks at me. I laugh.

Nat looks at the clock. "I got to go," she says putting her cup in the sink. "We got a newbie coming today so I have to be home for his arrival," she says looking around for her purse. "Guess that means you need a ride," Ava says following Nat's lead and puts her coffee cup in the sink. She searches for her purse. They say goodbye and head out. Once they are gone I make some toast. The rest of my day is quiet. I actually enjoy it. I get a call from Donna inviting me to dinner. I lie and tell her I'm not feeling well. I'm really not in the mood.

Monday morning I make my way to my locker. I'm shocked to find Carlos waiting for me. I wonder where Adam is. I wonder if he's mad at me about Saturday night. I don't why he would be considering I had no idea we were going to a river party. I approach my locker with Carlos grinning from ear to ear. "Hey hot stuff," he says taking in my outfit from head to toe. I'm wearing a skin tight black jean skirt and a red tank under a black denim jacket. I have on black ankle boots with about a three inch heel.

I can't help but grin at him. He's very handsome with his dark hair, dark eyes and dark skin. He looks pretty hot himself in a nice fitting pair of jeans and Hollister t-shirt. He has a nice physic. "What's up," I ask him as he slides aside so I can get into my locker. "I just wanted to stop by and say good morning. I got some good information for our project," he says smiling down at me. I may not have much experience with guys, but figure he has to be a major player. I saw plenty back at West Riverside. I smile politely and say "Well good morning to you Carlos." I grab my books and close my locker. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Fortunately, I don't have to do anything else. A clearing of someone's throat behind me does it all. "Hey Adam. I was just saying good morning to Carly. I'll see you later," he says and walks off. I watch him go and turn to Adam. His annoyed expression quickly changes to a sexy grin for me. "You look hot bad ass. No wonder you have guys falling at your feet." I roll my eyes and start to walk towards my first period class. Adam follows. As I slow down for him to catch up, I spot Nat talking with some boy I never noticed before.

"Who's that," I ask Adam as we get closer to them. "That's Nat's newest foster bro," he says right before we reach them. I notice the way Nat is looking at him. I notice her body language. I can tell immediately she really likes this boy. I give him a quick once over before they notice us. The boy is as tall as Nat. He appears to be a mixed race with his a light caramel colored skin and curly brown hair. I approach the two of them with Adam behind me. When he turns my way, I notice his light green eyes. They have caramel colored specks through them. He's rather striking.
