"Adria, hanggang kailan mo pahihirapan ang sarili mo?" Inikot niya ako at kinuha ang baso na hawak ko at nilagay sa counter, tsaka hinawakan ang aking mga kamay. "How long are you gonna keep running away from me, mon cœur?"
We looked at each other's eyes. His gray eyes that keep me bothered every time I sleep alone are now looking at me tenderly.
"Kie," humugot ako ng hininga, trying to get courage. "I've been killing people. And I'm not going to stop till I get the justice of what they had done with my father, till I get my rightful place in the Underground World. I'm not an innocent person who only had a crazy family background. I'm tainted with blood, Kie."
"And you think I'm not aware of that?"
Ako ngayon ang nagulat. "A-Anong..." Ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. "Alam mo?" Halos bulong na boses ko.
He cupped my face.
"Maiah Adria Omlin. Bago mo pa naisip na alamin ang pagkatao mo, may haka-haka na ako. And it only became concrete as your cousins reached out to me to be Sylvester. And from then on, mon cœur, I did my own research about you para naman pagdating ng araw na kailangan mo na ng tulong, we won't be wasting time just to catch up and such. I know what you had been doing and what kind of world that Underground World is. Sa mundong ito, hindi kasalanan ang pumatay, alam ko iyon."
"Why Kie? Why would you go such length?" Nanunubig ang mga mata ko.

Pero I kept it all to myself as you were taken back then by my own best friend. But then, genius Aidan Ichiro Oleen figured out what I felt for you."
Bumaba ang mga kamay niya sa mga braso ko habang sumalubong naman ang kilay ko.
"Alam ni Dan?"
He nodded. "On his last days, I went and visited him everyday, until one day he said my name with a tone I never heard him used before."
Kieran's POV
"Kieran Krauss Casteñeda."
I turned around from fixing the fruits basket he had on the table to him. He was staring off outside the window but his tone of voice when he called my full name got my attention.
It was as if he decided and declared it, as if he was some sort of a judge and whatever he'd say next would be my verdict.
"Adi? You okay? Something wrong?" Inayos ko ang upuan at umupo sa tabi ng kama.
Liningon niya ako tsaka ngumiti na parang nasagutan na niya ang puzzle. "May pagtingin ka sa Maiah ko."
He caught me off guard. "H-Huh? Anong p-pinagsasabi mo?"
Shit. Kailan pa ako natutong mag-blush? So freaking gay!
"Huli na kita, Kin. Itim ka na din. HAHA!"
