He Needs To Get Better

Zeke POV 

Six long endless tiring hard months have gone by and still no change on Julian. The holidays came and gone and I was supposed to go to New York in December but I pushed back going because I can’t leave, not when one of my mates is still in a coma and the other two are barely holding on, much like myself. My dad’s aren’t too happy about my decision about putting off college but I could care less, they aren’t at the top of my list of people’s feelings I do care about at the moment. In three month’s Zander and the rest of his siblings who are in senior year will graduate and Zander has to go to Alpha camp, he will be gone for two years so we really need a damn miracle right about now with Julian.

Kaiden God bless his sweet self has bitten Julian so many times to see if he can somehow heal him but that didn’t even work. Zander and I can’t mark him, if we do, we could harm him because his body will react badly to the bite if we don’t complete it by mating so that idea is out the window. Jacob’s grandpa has even tried his magic, Skylar with his and anyone else who has magic has tried to heal Julian but nothing is working. It seems like something inside him is blocking it for some reason. I heard Skylar talking about calling three goddesses if there isn’t any improvement in the next couple months. I don’t care if Julian wakes up suddenly with the help of magic or whatever and freaks the hell out, as long as he is awake. We can explain to him who we are and maybe he won’t freak out and accept us or he goes back into a coma because he is so freaked out. I don’t know, I just want my mate to wake up. We all want that. 

Kaiden has been working so much to avoid having to think about what is going on which I totally understand, he has a lot of patients to see, to heal so his work is important. Zander has been busy with school and pack work, I think he is also wanting to avoid thinking so much when all it does is depress us that much more. My top surgery date is coming up soon so that has been on my mind, getting prepared for that by seeing my therapist twice a week, I usually go once every two weeks but with Julian, I have been going a lot more recently. I originally had only Zander to be there for me when I go in but now I have Kaiden and Julian, I want all three of my mates to be there for me. I know Zander and Kaiden will be there, they already told me they would so that is at least some comfort but it isn’t going to be the same. I had asked the hospital if it would be possible if I could be in the same room as Julian after surgery even if he is in an ICU room and they were against it at first until Jaylen had a talk with them and they had agreed to it so at least he will be there, in one way. 

I had told Zander about the non findings in my research about Aaron and his wolf in reviving a dead wolf but once he mates and marks with his mate, he will be given a wolf spirit so needless to say when Aaron found out, he was happy. I loved seeing his reaction when he found out. Him and his mate didn’t come out of the bedroom for a while after that. They were together for a few months before they mated so it honestly was perfect for them, it was the right time for them to mate and bonus, he got a wolf spirit. Once he shifted with his wolf spirit, he was able to connect with his family and I was thrilled and cried happy tears for my friend and his family. It was a touching moment, much like Collen I was told. I’m just happy Aaron didn’t have to wait till he was a lot older. 

Julian’s kids were even there for the moment, they have been living at the Alpha mansion with Collen and his husbands, children and I. We take care of them because they are family and Jacob couldn’t take them back with him because he had to go back to S.C. after his leave was up and he didn’t feel right taking them so far away from their daddy. He has come to visit though once a month for a weekend and his mate has even moved to S.C. with him on one of his trips here. His mate had found out he was carrying so of course his dad’s let him go with Jacob, it was bitter sweet seeing him leave but what can you do? Matty was upset when Jacob left the first time because he sees Jacob as a father figure and when he came back, he was happy and the pattern repeated but Matty is getting better with Jacob coming and going. I have a feeling once Jacob’s contract is up next year, he will be moving here, joining the pack and living his life here with his family. Gracie has grown so much and has been crawling around everywhere, she is starting to eat soft solid foods now too. She has four teeth as well. When she saw Julian, she called out dada to him and when he didn’t respond, she started to cry and that made us cry, it was an emotional moment for us. Her first word to her daddy and he wasn’t awake to hear it.
