Julian POV

It's been two days since Ryan and Shane got jumped by those assholes and I still want to rip them apart. Shane still won't talk to anyone but Ryan and any time anyone tries touching him. When Jaylen gave us the full rundown of his medical history and gave us the rundown of his injuries, I wanted to murder his father and brother's. When he told us Shane has basically been through hell since he was three was a nightmare. Ryan out of everyone wanted nothing more than to kill Shane's brother's and father. Medical records show he has had seizures form the age of five when his father cracked his skull with a bat. He also has several healed broken bones and fractures in his face, arms, and legs. If that wasn't bad enough, he's had several hospital visits concerning anal bleeding off and on for the past ten years and hearing that brought all the wolves to the surface. This poor kid should have been saved but just like my friend Austin, the system failed him.

"Shane, it's time for your seizure and pain meds." I said knocking on the door. He only comes out of the room when Ryan is by the door to coax him out and assure him it's ok. It was sweet to see him so caring and nurturing when it came to his mate.

"I'll give it to him. He's having flashbacks and I don't want you guys to get hurt by accident because he has no control." Ryan said grabbing the breakfast tray from my hands without a reply and disappearing into the room.

"Any update on the court case or if there's enough evidence for an arrest warrant for those bastards?" Zeke asked. He's slowly starting to warm up to Shane which I was grateful for. Jacob was my plan B since Austin was my friend as well as Jacob. Of course at different points in our lives. Jacob knew him in his younger years and from the neighborhood and when his family relocated due to his mother being in the Navy they moved to my town and he died a couple of years later.

"Nothing yet sweetheart, I will let you all know as soon as I know anything." I said and sighed.

"Ryan, are you eating with us?" Collen asked through the door and I assumed he said no as Collen sighed a bit too exasperated. Not for any reason in particular but we don't like seeing our family hurting.

"What's for breakfast?" I asked Danny. It was his turn to cook and I swear anytime he cooks I get a little jealous.

"I made grits, buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs several ways, pancakes, waffles,  bacon, and sausage." As he listed all of that I couldn't stop drooling. Cooking for an entire troop would be a piece of cake for him. I should talk to the captain and talk Danny up to him in hopes I can have his food twenty-four-seven when and if I rejoin the military.

"Craig is a lucky guy." I laughed as he blushed.

"Shush and just eat." Craig whispered something in his ear and he turned all shades of red running to their bedroom and it hit me, that kinky minx.

After breakfast, we all sat around in the living room and watched random shows, and then Ryan's bedroom door opened and we all looked up and Shane was wrapped around Ryan and he was shaking pretty noticeably but we didn't want to make him any more self-conscious than he already was.

"We're going to the zoo in about an hour, did you boys wanna go?" Collen asked, looking at his son and his mate.

"Sure, we'll be ready by then." Ryan said playing with Shane's hair while they were focused on the TV on the wall.

"Shane, do you want a new outfit? You don't have any of your belongings here and Ryan's clothes would be too big for you." I asked and he nodded, looking at me for a few seconds.

"What size are you? Shoes as well." I asked, trying to get him to talk.

"Twenty-six by twenty-six and shoe size eight." He said slightly above a whisper.
