Kaiden POV 

After Shane called saying Julian was going to get his brothers I knew it wasn't going to be easy. I just didn’t know it was going to be as hard as it was. Once we got to the hotel, thanks to Ian, I told my mates that I would be back and left without waiting for a reply. I needed to check on Julian, I didn’t know what kind of situation he was in and I didn’t want him to face it alone if he started stressing out or breaking down. When I saw the boys, I wanted to cry. They looked like they had been in hell and they were only at that house for a little while. Those people really did a number on them. 

I watched as my sweet mate followed them to the hospital, waited in the waiting room until he was allowed back to see them, watched him go into the hallway after he had seen them and cry silently, watched him compose himself and signed them out when they were ready to go and watched as he took them to the hotel and by that time, my other mates had went home so I with a heavy heart went home as well around seven am, I didn’t want to leave but I also couldn’t just sit outside the hotel forever.

“Kaiden, how are they?” Zander asked as soon as I walked into the house. I sighed and sent them the images of the boys walking out of the house and their eyes were glowing brightly and my pregnant mates were in tears while Zander had a look of murder in his eyes. 

“And Julian, how is he?” Seth asked and I sat down and told them all that I saw when I was watching him. 

“Listen I know we are needed here but guys, we need to be there for Julian and the boys, I don’t want him going through this alone, maybe I can talk to papa and see if he will wait in giving me the Alpha title and power until we are home, with our mate and children? We weren’t there when he needed us the most before and I don’t want to do that again, not after everything.” Zander said and I for one agree with him. Julian needs us more than ever with the four boys.

“While you talk to him, I’m going to go talk to Killian, no need to worry, I’m just going to talk to him about this woman and her husband and what he decides to do, I’m not going to stop him.” I said and my mates looked at me like I better not do anything bad but I’m not sure if I can do that. 

“I love you I do but you weren’t there, you didn’t see them or Julian, you didn’t see their pain or hear the things that woman was saying or the other children that were there. She is lucky I didn’t kill her at that moment.” I said and kissed them each and walked out with Zander to his dad’s house. When we got there, all ten men were sitting on the front porch just watching their younger kids playing in the yard and talking. It was a beautiful sight, one I can’t wait to do with my new babies on the way with their older siblings. 

“Papa, dad, can we speak to you?” Zander asked and looked at Collen and Killian. Collen was holding Callahan on his lap and Killian had Jagger so they stood up and let Collen and Killian up and they came over to us. Zander and Collen started talking so I took Killian a little far away, werewolf hearing can be a pain in the ass when you don’t want anyone to hear you. 

When we got to a spot he started to talk but I put my hand up to silence him and closed my eyes and he did the same because we connected on a demonic level, not pack so it’s safer this way from anyone trying to get into our minds. I sent him the images and told him what I wanted done and he said it will be done and that I will be needed so we made a plan for a few days from now. Once we were finished talking, we went back to Zander and Collen.

“It looks like our son and his mates are going back to CA to be with Julian and the boys, I told him we can wait for as long as he needs for them to get the boys home.” Collen told Killian and Killian hugged Zander.
