Approval Of The Soccer Club

[The Next Morning...]

I woke up and did all the morning stuff then headed downstairs after putting on my uniform.

"Good morning sweetie. Breakfast is ready." My mum said as she saw me come down.

"Ah thanks mum! I'm hungry!" Luckily I woke up extra early today so I can eat my breakfast at ease.

I took out my phone and scrolled threw it for a bit until my fingers came across something weird...

What's this? This is Amemiya Taiyou's account but...it's all black...his profile picture and all his posts...everything is literally just solid black. What the?

Now I'm curious...do I ask him tomorrow or should I just listen to Kyousuke and try to stay away from him?

I'm now in school and heading to the soccer club as usual. But I was kinda running late, why am I always late?!, and I ended up bumping into someone when I turned the corner...

"Ow..."

"Oh hey there y/n." I heard that someone say as I looked up to meet his eyes.

"Amemiya? Sorry for bumping into you."

"No problem." He flashes a little smile.

"But what are you doing here? This is the entrance to the soccer club." I couldn't help but ask.

"Yeah I know I'm thinking of joining the club."

"Ehhhhhhh?! For real?" He nodded.

How am I supposed to stay away from him now? It gets more and more complicated by each day!

So he sits right next to me and now he'll be joining the soccer club, basically I'll be seeing him a lot and that's not what Tsurugi wants...

*sigh*

"What's wrong? You don't want me to be with you in the club?" He asked making a sad face.

"No no it's not that it's just- wait
....how did you know I'm in the soccer club? I never mentioned it." I eyes him suspiciously.

"Er...no...hehe..I just saw you once playing with the Raimon team so I concluded that you're in the soccer club!" He said with that same smile.

Hmm.....okay....

"Okay then. You can come in." I told him and we both entered.

I greeted the team and Coach Endou then he looked at Amemiya questionably.

"And you are?" He asked.

"My name is Amemiya Taiyou and I would like to join the soccer club please." He bowed politely.

"Hmm...okay but we need to test your skills first. Let's all go to the field now c'mon!" He called onto the rest of us as we all headed to the soccer field.

"Now...Shindou?" Called the coach. "Yes coach."

Shindou went into the field with a ball and told Amemiya to come with him while the rest of us stayed outside the field.

"The test is simple, if you could take the ball from me then you could join the soccer club. Deal?"
Amemiya nodded as Shindou started juggling the ball a little waiting for Amemiya's attack.

Surprisingly, Amemiya dashed in an incredible speed and snatched the ball from between Shindou's legs like it's nothing.

Shindou didn't even have time to react...

"Woah! Just like that?!" Screeched Midori.

"It's extremely hard to take a ball from Shindou! How did he do it so quickly?" Yelled Tenma.

I myself was shocked. It didn't take him 3 seconds!

He was standing there with the ball smirking at his victory and turned to look at Coach Endou waiting for his approval.

"Refused." Is what Coach said with a straight face.

"HAH?!" We all yelled confused even Amemiya. Of course we're confused....the guy seems amazing in playing soccer, he's almost as good as Tsurugi! So why not put him on our team? He'll help us win more matches!

"Why Coach?!"

"Yeah why? Didn't you see what he did?!"

But Coach Endou glared at them to shut them up.

Then I saw Amemiya approach Coach Endou slowly...
"Coach, May I have a word with you please? Privately." He told him.

Coach Endou nodded as they went a bit far from us. We could still see them but not hear them.

Moments later they returned while Coach Endou's face looked troubled and irritated by something...

"Change of plans now, Amemiya Taiyou is now an official member of the soccer club. Aoi, please give him Raimon's soccer uniform." He announced.

"Oh yeah COOL!"

"Awesome! We have a great player now on the team! Yeahh!"

Huh? What happened to the refusal just now? How did Coach Endou change his mind so fast? What did Amemiya tell him?

"Finally our team will get back as strong as we were! Ever since Tsurugi left and the team has been down!" Yelled Shinsuke and I saw Amemiya run to him quickly.

"Tsurugi? Did you say Tsurugi?"
He asked with narrowed eyes as Shinsuke nodded. "He was one of our best players in the team but he left this year sadly." Shinsuke summarised briefly for him as Amemiya's eyes darkened a bit and looked as if he was deep in thought.

Does he know Tsurugi?
