Injury

Your POV:

I went back to class while Hakuryuu's words kept lurking in my head.

Amemiya Taiyou...he doesn't seem like the talkative type but he was certainly nice to me at the end of class.

I'll see for myself...

He's still not here though, where is he? Class is about to start...

[after class...]

He didn't come at all...he didn't attend the lesson not even later.

Where could he be? Is he in trouble?

Well it's really non of my business so I shouldn't be curious...*shrug*

No one's POV:

"Did you find him?"

"No sir..."

"Keep looking."

"Yes sir."
He hung up the phone and went back inside.

Your POV:

I didn't think much about it as it was the end of the school day.

Finally I get to go back home and call Tsurugi!

"HEY Y/N! C'MON WE HAVE PRACTICE! CAPTAIN ENDOU IS WAITING FOR US!" I heard Tenma yell to me through the hall.

Oh right...I totally forgot about soccer practice!

Guess Tsurugi will have to wait sadly...

I went to my locker to get my soccer uniform and found Hakuryuu waiting for me there...

"C'mon Y/n let's go." He said.

"I can't Haku...I still have soccer practice. You go on ahead." I told him while putting my bag inside my locker and closing it's door.

He sighed, "Nah it's ok I'll wait for you. I don't have anything better to do."

I shrugged, "Okay then let's go!"

I stopped by the dressing room first to change into my uniform then we headed to the soccer field and found the rest of the team running laps around it.

"C'mon Y/n! 10 laps around the field! Warm up c'mon!" Yelled the coach as I threw my bag to the managers and joined the team in running.

[10 minutes later...]

*pant* *pant* *pant*

"Argh that was tough!" Groaned Shinsuke.

"Good job everyone! Now onto the field!" Yelled coach Endou as we obeyed him and took our positions.

We started playing as usual and each player passing the ball to the next one until the ball was passed to me. I ran with it forward then passed it to no one and it ended up going out the field...

"Don't space out y/n!" Shouted the coach as I nodded and apologised.

I passed it there involuntarily... it's the spot where Tsurugi usually stands...that's his position...I just passed it there thinking he's still standing there waiting for the ball in his usual position....but now his position is empty...

That's when-

"Y/N WATCH OUT!" I heard someone yell and the next thing I felt was the strong ball hitting my head harshly making me fall down face first.

"Y/N!"

"Y/N ARE YOU OKAY?!"

"HEY Y/N!"

I heard the team yelling and running towards me as I could barely get up, feeling the pain from the strike fill my head.

Hakuryuu entered the field quickly looking worried as he crouched down beside the team with a very worried expression on his face.

"Hey y/n! Y/n are you okay?! Can you hear us?"

I tried to get up but my head really hurt badly...

"Ow....that hurts..."

"I'm so sorry y/n I didn't mean to!" Shouted Kirino who was the one who kicked the ball with his hissatsu technique.

"No it's okay Kirino don't worry." I assured him as I finally stood up with the help of the managers.

"I'm fine really it just hurts a bit at the head area that's all."

"Y/n..." I heard coach Endou call my name, "...I think you should call it a day. You're spacing out too much today and you're hurt so go home and rest."

"Hai(yes) honto gomenasai(I'm really sorry) *bows*" the coach smiled at me as Hakuryuu helped me walk out of the field.

"Go by the infirmary first before heading home!" Yelled the coach and I nodded.

Hakuryuu accompanied me to the nurse's office but the nurse wasn't there...

"Hm? The nurse isn't here...maybe we should just head home." I said.

"No way! You're head is bleeding!" Insisted Hakuryuu.

"It is?" I touched the spot where the ball hit me and as much as it hurt, I found some blood on my fingers.

Hakuryuu sighed, "Come here then I'll bandage your head to stop the bleeding at least." He went to the cupboard and got some bandages from it. He say on a high chair and made me sit on the one in front of him as he started unrolling the bandage and placing it around my head.

He secured it to cover my injury then clapped his hands, "All done!"

"Thanks Haku that's much better!" I smiled at him as he smiled back, "C'mon then let's go." He said as we went out and exited the school gate.

We were walking home in silence until Hakuryuu broke it, "So why were you spacing out so much earlier in practice?"

"It just....feels kinda empty without Tsurugi..." I started, "You saw how I just passed the ball to no one back there?"

He nodded, "I did that out of habit cuz that's where Tsurugi is usually standing...I imagined him standing in his usual position waiting for the ball...but I guess I'm still not used to him being away..."

Hakuryuu sighed, "I know it's hard for you n/n...but I know you, you're a strong girl and besides...I'm sure Tsurugi missed you as much as you do."

I nodded solemnly. I do in fact miss him.

So much.
