I wake up next to the love of my life, I will never tire of how handsome he looks. I stare up him, his face contorted looking like he's having a bad dream. I press my body firmly against his hard one. I can feel the heat radiating off him. I lean up to stroke my finger down his jawline. I kiss him softly causing him to wake up.

"Good morning," I whisper. "Have I ever told you how much I adore you?"

"Hmm...perhaps," he smiles coyly, "but I never tire of it. Go on."

I kiss him on the cheek. "Well I adore you," I crawl out of bed. "We should get up. We have a lot more planning to do now that Arsen is back. Also, your cousin should be arriving soon." I dress for the day. A guard knocks on our door to tell us we have a visitor in the foyer. "Come on, we should go greet her."

To my complete surprise the Beautiful Princess isn't standing in the foyer of our castle, but Mylene and my half-brother. My body stills and I stare at them. "Who called them here," I ask Raidyn in a low tone of voice, trying hard not to let the anger shine through my voice.

He sighs and mutters, "I did. You can yell at me later."

"Raidyn," I rub at my forehead. "We definitely don't need them here. She'll always be a traitor in my eyes and he is just my father's son. We don't need them here." I repeat. I wasn't going to greet them. In fact, I wanted nothing more than to run the opposite way. I know we need all the help we can get, Arsen is powerful and can easily wreck havoc in our lives, but I don't see how my once step-mother and infant half-brother can help.

"Family is family." Raidyn shrugs and finishes descending the stairs to greet them. "Welcome. The guards will take your things to your rooms. I'm sure the journey was long- feel free to rest up. You'll be called for a meeting around noon."

"Thank you Raidyn, Dear," Mylene gives him a kind smile. "I'm glad you wrote to me. I will do whatever I can to help." She gives me a passing glance and smiles. I narrow my eyes intimidatingly.

"Maybe ease up a little, you know she isn't Cynric." Raidyn whispers and nudges my arm softly.

"She has the power to run really fast," I scoff, "I hardly see how she'll be a big help."

In through the doors next is Solana. Like always she looks beautiful. "Cousin!" She rushes to Raidyn and wraps her arms around his neck. "Don't you look handsome! I'm so glad you called me here. The kingdom is beautiful."

"The pleasure is mine, cousin." Raidyn squeezes her in his embrace. "You know you're always welcome here. Maybe you can help me with Rhett."

"What did that little dork do now?" She sighs rolling her eyes.

"His defiance is driving me mad." He rolls his eyes. "I see why your father sent him here."

"He's insufferable. Almost worse than Nodin and Nodin is horrible," she crosses her arms. "But I am his big sister and I'll whip him into shape. Oh, also I hope it's okay that I brought someone with me." Carrying Solana's bags is a lanky looking man. "This is Jasper, he's Jett's brother. I think we two met at the wedding?" She taps her finger to her lips trying to recall.

"Indeed." Raidyn outstretches his hand and firmly shakes Jasper's hand in turn shaking his whole entire body. "I'll be keeping an eye on you."

Jasper lets out a nervous chuckle. "I promise I'm here on my best behavior, King Raidyn."

"Yeah, yeah," Solana grabs his wrists. "We're going to go break in the bed. Bye cousin!" She sings and giggles.

"I have a feeling Rhett was right," I sigh. "She may not be a big help to us either."
