Nephele

We sit at the same, stretched dinner table as always and wait for our father to come down and dine with us. Solana is recalling her tales from the previous night, everyone had gone out and had a good time, except for me. Princess Nephele, heir to the Windy Kingdom's throne.

"You shouldn't sleep with everyone who gives you a passing glance." Zephyr adds in disapprovingly.

"Let her live, Zeph." I sigh and Solana gives me a look of appreciation.

I could care less what Junior thinks about me for sticking up for her. I know some part of him is bitter, what that's from I'll never know- possibly the whole broom closet thing with Knoton. I have respect for myself and although I did get with his best friend, it was because I was tired of it- tired of being some pristine virgin my father has emphasized me to be. I enjoy myself sometimes, sure, but I respect myself and always stop it from going too far.

Ciro's up-to-no-good grin appears. "Did Knoton ever find you last night?"

"No because I never went out. I had lessons to attend to with dad." I give him a dirty look for flaunting his freedom in my face. "I'm done with Knoton anyways, it was a one time thing." I say more quietly and stare directly at Zephyr II.

"I think Knoton had fun with another sister." Rhett joins in the conversation snickering.

I furrow my eyebrows. "Is Knoton the man from last night, Solana?"

"Why is every brother so lame?" Solana groans. "Except you Ciro, you're the only cool one."

"Solana." I push feeling like their mother as usual.

"Yes, she did." Zephyr II responds for her. His face showing no emotion.

I shake my head. "I don't get why you would do that, that's now two of the same guys we've shared."

"So what? He's cute and you don't want him!" Solana argues.

"It's just weird to me." I grimace and shake off the creepy feeling. "It's not like our brothers share the women they tangle limbs with."

"Number two didn't come home last night." Solana changes the subject.

"Will you stop calling me number two." Zephyr II has always hated it, it's mainly why all us siblings continue to call him that.

"Junior, where'd you go?" I smirk. "Finally done judging us and having some fun for yourself?"

"I didn't go anywhere. No, I'm still judging you both." He neatly straighten out his silverware on the napkin.

"Ciro, you don't happen to know the details of this mysterious night out Junior had, do you?" I croon. Ciro always knows what's going on.

"All I know is he didn't leave the club last night and showed up with a girl this morning--took her to father and everything." Ciro shrugs.

"Are you smitten with this young woman, Junior?" I squeal in delight, clapping my hands.

"Stop calling me Junior." Zephyr says annoyed and squirms in his seat. "Stop talking about me, I'm right here."

"You don't like to be number two, or Junior, but dad is Zephyr...so what do you want us to call you?" Nodin chimes in.

"Dad is dad, why can't you five just call me Zephyr that is my name." He re-folds his cloth napkin.

Rhett joins in to ask the important questions to a teenage boy, "So is Junior's woman hot, Ciro?"

"She was pretty disheveled. That's all I can tell you." Ciro laughs.
