Foreign Megalos

Issaiah and I sit on the couch in front of the laptop looking at Dr. Morris. It's been a minute since we last spoke to him. Truth be told we put our issues on pause to focus on the baby. But Sai said she wanted to keep on working out our problems so here we are.

I slump down on the couch trying to get comfortable and listen to what he's telling me. Sai has her notebook and pen in hand to take notes on how to improve our relationship.

"How's everything been going with you two?"

"Things have been good, we did put our problems on pause for a minute though." I respond to Dr. Morris.

"Oh, for what?"

"Art." Sai moves the pillow from in front of her stomach revealing her pregnant stomach. "Foreign and I are having a baby."

"Congratulations, how far along are you."

"Twenty seven weeks."

"You're almost to the finish line. How has this experience been for you?"

"It's nothing like I could have imagined, but I love it." She smiles. We both rub her stomach.

"What about you Foreign?"

"Shit's cool, I honestly feel like it's brought us closer."

"Have you told your family about you being pregnant?" Sai looks at me and chuckles. Shit went better than we expected so we can't complain. I'm just glad nobody can hold it over our head and say we never told them.

"Yes, everybody knows."

"Everybody." I add for emphasis. Even her hating ass ex guardian.

"How did it go telling them?"

"Surprisingly great, I mean of course Weston Young didn't approve of it. But most of them had words of encouragement to give."

"Most of them?"

"My brothers had a problem with the news but it's expected. They'll come around."

"That's great to hear. Have you had a chance to get in contact with your biological father?"

"Not yet."

"Foreign, you're still finding it a problem to be comfortable with it?" I bite my lip and shift in my seat thinking about my response.

"Yeah, I'm still not with her contacting him?"

"Do you see yourself having a conversation with him to work out your differences?"

"I hadn't planned on it, but I mean if I want us to work I'm going to have to be cool with it right."

"Alright, that's something we can work with."

"Are you really going to try to reach out to him or are you just saying that?"

"I'm going to talk to him. I hear what you guys have been saying about me switching my opinion about him. You're right, I do sound hypocritical."

"What brought you to this conclusion Foreign?"

"The other day when we told our family and friends about Sai being pregnant. Our baby is going to know who my parents are but he won't know who Sai's is and I think our baby deserves to have both sets of grandparents." Sai wipes her eyes trying her best to refrain from bawling her eyes out.

"I'm glad that you're thinking about the baby but also consider my feelings."

"I do."

"Then why didn't you just say that because the way you worded it makes it seem like if I wasn't pregnant you wouldn't have thought twice about getting in contact with my biological father?"
