"3.2.1. Happy New Years!"
"Happy New Year baby."
"Happy New Year my love." Sai grabs my face and kisses it. I kiss Sire's forehead and hug both of them. This has been a trying year and despite the drama it has brought, I'm blessed to see another year. God made a way for me to still have a job and kept my family safe. I can't do anything but thank him.
I can't wait to see what he has in store for me this year. Prayfully its more elevation to better things. I'm looking forward to finally being able to call Sai my wife and possibly get started on another baby.
"Here bae." Sai slides into bed and passes me a notebook and pen. I look at her wondering what she wants me to do with this.
"What's up?"
"Sire is sleep so I want us to take the time to write down how we want this year to be."
"Manifestation?"
"Yes and then we'll share."
"Aight."
After everything that God has given me this previous year, I really can't ask for much more. My life couldn't get much better than this. I write down a few things here and there but mainly keep it short. My own business would be nice to have and just a healthier relationship with Sai is all I want.
After thirty minutes, we both finish and swap notebooks. I read over what she wrote down and nod my head. This year, Sai wants a consistent relationship with her dad. She wants to have the wedding and ultimately she wants to work on making our relationship as strong as it possibly can be. I place it down and look at her.
"You think your dad will come around?"
"I'm praying he does. We haven't spoken in a couple of months which is really making me second guess things."
"He'll come around eventually."
"How can you be certain of that?" I shrug my shoulders.
"He's been trying right."
"In the beginning but since the day we were supposed to meet up I haven't heard from him."
"Just give him some time."
"Thank you for the encouragement, I know this has been tough for you to accept."
"I'll try anything for you."
"Thank you baby." She leans in and pokes out her lips for me to kiss. I oblige and gives her exactly what she wants.
"This all you want to put on your list?"
"Just about. I see you don't have much either."
"Not much more that I need to put. I'm just waiting for number two for mine and yours to happen." She smiles and pushes her hair behind her ear.
"So lets set a date."
"It's ultimately your day, I'm just there to give you my last name and make shit official between us."
"Lets do September 18th."
"Why that day?"
"It's supposed to be national first love day. Since our birthdays and anniversary are on national holidays I thought our wedding could be on one as well."
