Foreign Megalos
"Are you sure I look fine?" Sai asks as she checks her makeup in the car's mirror for the millionth time. I look over at her and smile.
"You look beautiful stop worrying."
"And you're sure that my outfit is good. Your parents aren't going to get offended."
"Baby look at me."
"Foreign, come on now, I don't want to get embarrassed." I pull Sai by the chin and make her look at me. She pouts while I smile and wink at her.
"You look perfect, it's all good. Now can we go inside?"
"Fine but if your mother looks at me sideways 'cause my ass is hanging out. I'm hanging your ass out to dry."
"Chill it's not that deep." We get out of the car and walk up to the door. I pull out my key and unlock it, letting Sai walk in first. We're hit with loud old school music and the smell of my favorite dishes.
"Ma, pop, we're here!"
Lynx is the first to come greet us, hugging Sai before she hugs me. I always loved their relationship. Sai was cool with Lyn before she was cool with me so just knowing that she has a genuine relationship with my sister is amazing.
"Ma, For and Sai is here!"
"How's school going gorgeous?"
"It's going good, studying hard partying even harder."
"That's what I'm talking about."
"You better be playing?"
"Sure we'll go with that." Before I can reply, my parents come rushing in with smiles on their faces. Sai fixes her clothes discretely and returns the smile.
"My goodness! Foreign did not do you justice with his pictures, you are so beautiful. Hi, I'm Natasha but you can call me ma." My mom pulls Sai into a hug that catches her off guard.
"Thank you, Foreign didn't tell me that you were so young. I'm not trying to butter you up but there's no way that you have a twenty five year old son. You're like thirty."
"I love her already."
"Issaiah, I'm Alesandro nice to meet you." Pop extents his hand for Sai to shake.
"Nice to meet you too."
"Lynx go turn the music off for me."
"Yes ma'am."
"Dinner's almost ready so that gives us time to chat a bit and get to know you Issaiah."
"Great."
The four of us take a seat on the couch getting comfortable. The music is turned off and Lynx returns and takes her place on the couch. My mother is the first to speak ready to know everything.
"Are you in school?"
"Yes, I just got my associates in General Studies but I'm changing my major to business."
"What are you trying to do with that degree?"
"I really want to open up my own homeless shelter." My parents nod their head in approval pleased with the direction that she wants to take her future.
"What made you choose that route?"
"I'm a very giving person and homelessness is such a big problem and it's only getting worse. Because of financial situations and differences of opinions in households some people don't have someone to run to. I want to be the go to spot, I want people to know that they always have somewhere to run to when times get rough."
