Happy Father's Day to all the hardworking dads out there. Especially the black fathers that make an effort to be in their kids lives. Thank you for all you do to raise your kids to be the best that they can be. I hope you get spoiled on this day.

The day has finally come for our baby shower/gender reveal, and I could not be more excited for this. If someone would have told me that I'd be having a baby with the love of my life in my early twenties I would have thought they were crazy. Now I can't imagine my life without Foreign and I'm so excited to meet my second love. This shit is getting serious and I'm so ready to see where things go from here.
Foreign and I stand in the hallway waiting anxiously for someone to give us the go ahead to walk inside the venue. Despite what's going on in the world, we were fortunate enough to find a space. I made sure that the girls did a deep clean for our safety and theirs.
"You ready dada?"
"So ready, what about you mama?"
"I just want to find out what we're having."
"I already told you that we're having a girl."
"Whatever you say." I grab his jacket and pull him closer to me. My lips poke out for him to kiss me. Foreign places his hands on my stomach and leans in to kiss me.
"You look so beautiful Sai." Lynx compliments me as she steps in the hallway to greet us.
"Thank you, this is like the first time I've felt attractive in weeks."
"Girl what, pregnant or not you're that bitch."
"Period." Lynx continues to hype me up making my serotonin levels spike. Boost my ego sis!
"Thank you."
"What about me?" Foreign asks giving a slow spin.
"What about you?"
"It be ya own blood."
"You look good baby. If I wasn't pregnant I'd let you knock me up tonight."
"Thank you." Foreign leans down and kisses me.
"Ewww don't nobody want to hear that."
"Close your ears then."
"Anyway, are you guys ready to see what we put together?"
"Yes!"
"Hell yeah." Lynx hands us blindfolds. I roll my eyes but put it on. There's no use in me arguing when I'm not going to get my way.
"Alright I am going to grab your hands and lead you into the venue."
"Ok." She grabs our hands and we shuffle our feet trying to not trip.
I hear faint mummers as the doors close behind us. Within a few more steps she stops us and directs us to take off our blindfolds.
"Foreign and Issaiah, welcome to your fairytale baby reveal shower."
