I sit in the backseat with my headphones in tuning out Merci and Eric as best as I could. My mind was so far gone and all I could think about was Amir and Alonzo. They put me in such a vulnerable position and then they taunted me. I should have said something about Amir having a gun so they could lock his ass up. My blood boils just thinking about my mistakes. The only thing that's been getting me through this is the high chances of Foreign winning this case.
Lynx has been texting me nonstop about Foreign's case and so far it's been nothing but good things. I made sure that I would have cellphone service so I could call Foreign during visiting hours. I was upset that I couldn't be there for Foreign after I took the stand and gave my testimony, but Merci needs at least one person on her side just in case things didn't go as planned out here. She has Eric with her but that was only to a certain extent. He doesn't know her like I know her.
I look out the window seeing that we have finally made it to the camp site that her dad's family has held all of there reunions for the past ten years. It was quiet nice being that it was in the middle of nowhere. Just looking at it has me glad that I brought cans of bug spray with me.
Eric puts the car in park next to Mr. Hamilton's car and turns it off. We sit and look around at the next few cars that are filled with her family members.
"Just say the word and we will haul ass back to to city."I inform Merci showing my full support to her.
"Thank you so much for doing this Sai, it really means a lot to me."
"You're my girl and if we don't have each other's backs then who will?"
"Ready?"Eric asks.
"No but I have to get out or they'll have another reason to talk about me."
"Let's do this then."The three of us emerge from the car. I'm quick to fix my clothes trying not to attract unwanted attention. Eric goes to the trunk to get our bags while Mr. Hamilton makes his way over with the biggest smile on his face. He's so happy to be building a relationship with his daughter.
"Glad to see you guys made it safely."
"Yeah, Eric is as safe as they get when it comes to driving."
"That's because I have precious cargo with me."Mr. Hamilton helps Eric out by grabbing two of our bags from him.
"Indeed you do. Come on, I'll show you, where you'll be sleeping."
"Thank you because I need a nap."I announce.
"Sai, you just woke up from a nap."
"I kept waking up, my mind was too far gone to even get comfortable."
"Still thinking about Foreign?"
"I'm really worried about him."
"Everything is going to work out. Keep on having faith."
"Here we are. You girls will be sleeping in this cabin."
"Wait, you actually have separate cabins for the guys and the girls?"
"Yeah, it's tradition."Damn, this shit really did happen in the real world. I'm surprised they still have family reunions knowing that people's sex lives were getting messed up because of the sleeping arrangements.
